.@CIJ_ICJ case brought by the DRC against Rwanda underscores decades of destabilization, violence, and the systematic looting of the country's mineral wealth.
Despite @realDonaldTrump's brokered "peace" agreement, violence continues while corporations race to secure access to Congo's critical minerals:

National Indigenous History Month is drawing to a close, but learning about our shared history so we can understand how to move forward doesn't stop now. The AFN has highlighted First Nations leaders, milestones and movements that have shaped our past and our present. Reconciliation is an ongoing journey that calls on all of us to continue learning, building respectful relationships, and taking meaningful action. There are many excellent resources to inform your journey and we encourage everyone to read, watch, listen and learn. Together, let’s move forward in a good way. #NIHM2026
The Canadian Museum for Human Rights continues to face relentless attacks over its important exhibit featuring the stories of Palestinian dispossession.
It is therefore profoundly regrettable to see Minister @MarcMillerVM join the Israel lobby in undermining the work of the Museum. Although he initially declined to interfere with the Museum’s programming, Miller has recently made comments disparaging the exhibit, alleging that it has “errors” and “failures” that “must be rectified.”
This is an alarming threat to the independence of the Museum and its ability to tell human rights stories without political interference, and gives fuel to the extremist voices who want to silence Palestinians.

In the mid-2000s, Sri Lankan peacekeepers stationed in Haiti were implicated in multiple cases of abuse, including the sexual exploitation and abuse of minors.
While individual cases vary, the broader concern raised by human rights organisations is not only about what happened, but about the systems that allowed it to occur, and the lack of meaningful criminal accountability that followed.
Women played a vital role in the drafting and adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
