The future of Social media could focus on developing more Augmented Reality. Helping people connect better virtually when they can't be near others. I picture the meeting scene from Avengers End game. #INFO246w81
Someone Is Always Watching! Libraries need to be extra cautious when posting photos of patrons. Taking the time to get patrons to sign a photo release could save someone's life. The abuse victim hiding from a partner, the child who is not out to their parent, etc.#INFO246w74
@itsnikkeeesjsu This! I think that libraries are less concerned with the holds area then they should be. Anyone can see the books I check out. I have noticed on more than one occasions a patron looking at what other people are checking out.
@SydneySJSU@abovetheshelf@WunWong4@SydneySJSU most programs do state that, but I think with social media we need to be more careful. People don't automatically process that by attending an event they are agreeing to be photographed. Taking an extra second to ask the patrons permission needs to be thought about.
@WunWong4 I completely agree. There are so many options available to collect a photo release. Libraries should protect the privacy of the patrons by getting permission before posting the image on social media. You can never be to careful.
Just another reason to love my local library! Not only do they have amazing summer activities that keep my kids interested all summer long, but they also team up with local businesses to help feed those in need in our community. #LibrariesDoThat#INFO246w620

@tgmlis So Scary! I would hate to have someone judge me on what book I'm reading. I read a variety of things. Sometimes things that people would consider "Trashy" or "Dumb." One of my biggest fears is having someone look at the books on my bookshelf and judging me solely on that.
@tgmlis I love the idea of book face Friday! I've seen people do this with records and cd's. I think this would even be a great challenge to put out on social media.
@MeganBowyer246 Wow @MeganBowyer246 it sounds like all these places should be so far from each other. I used to live in MD and my kids schools, work, and activities were laid out similarly.
