@sreemoytalukdar Perfectly put. I think India and Indians will be net beneficiaries of this transition. The willingness to use technology for daily lives is incredible. 2012-13 thereabouts India did not figure within the top 10 nations in digital transactions, now it's at the top.

@sreemoytalukdar True but I suspect post-Covid we will enter a hybrid era, with increased online presence supplementing real-life interactions. Somethings will of course change, business travel is one of them. Zoom meeting will be the first choice.

@sreemoytalukdar 2/2 I suspect that the same will happen with the metaverse idea. Humans have evolved more than a millennium with face-to-face interactions and more than 70% of communication is non-verbal. The tech doesn't exist yet to translate that to digital #Metaverse

@sreemoytalukdar Sreemoy, this idea was tried more than 10 years ago in Second Life. Granted that due to lack of real broadband speeds and less compute power the graphics were not that great. Even then, it was wildly popular at one point with cos holding meetings there. But it faded out soon 1/2
