One thing I cannot tolerate at this grown age is people who refuse to understand cause and effect. Your actions produced this outcome. Why are you shocked by the consequences of something you deliberately set in motion, then standing there playing victim?
@SwedishRumble Only United are to blame. There should be a club led public naming and shaming of all these officials with receipts and evidences. No one’s gonna stand up for you if you do not stand up for yourself. Boycott a few matches. Accuse the likes of Oliver for match fixing officially.
One of the clearest signs of HIGH INTELLIGENCE is having no desire to be seen, admired, or understood by people, at peace with being misunderstood, and incredibly skilled at the art of letting go.
An 80-year-old mother is offering to return her son's Shaurya Chakra.
Not in anger at the nation.
In exhaustion.
Assistant Commandant Vivek Saxena fell fighting terrorists in Manipur on 8 January 2003. The country gave him the Shaurya Chakra. The state promised his family land and a memorial. Twenty-two years later, Savitri Saxena is still being sent from office to office. Asked for domicile papers. Asked where she lived before marriage. Asked to keep waiting.
She is 80. She says she no longer has the strength to keep doing the rounds. So she has brought the medal to a grievance camp and said: if this is the honour we give a martyr's mother, take it back.
A son gave his life.
A mother is being asked to prove she belongs.
That should break something in all of us.

@stfukarran If you really had to make a comparison, it had to be football and rugby.
Badminton — almost on par with them
TT — catching up but not too far
Tennis — catching up but not too far
First in my bloodline to see a very senior journalist from a major news network call out the economic illiteracy in this entire GDP Debate & agenda peddling.

@Deepanshu__Agar@cheerica This happens all the time. Even the US basketball team makes its own arrangements instead of staying in Games village. BCCI is footing their bill. No one should have a problem with it. Optically, doesn’t look nice but can’t do anything about it. It’s the team and players’ choice
