This Youtube channel is still wrongfully banned
Tldr / timeline
8 June 2024
Created B0atyClips. I have permission to use the content. I did this on the side while Josh was on a break, to keep working and expand my CV. I love editing.
1 February 2026
Stopped working on B0atyClips. Became a father. I work full time elsewhere and had to narrow my focus.
21 May 2026
4 months of inactivity on the channel, B0atyClips gets a “reused content” claim. Suspended from YPP. That bans me from ad revenue on all of my accounts.
14 September 2026
Still banned from ad revenue until the B0atyClips claim is corrected on YouTube’s end. This affects every account I operate.
—
B0atyClips videos are edited clips from B0aty’s stream for people who can’t sit through the full streams.
If this ban is correct, NO STREAMER CLIP CHANNEL WOULD BE ALLOWED ON YOUTUBE.
Cuts, subtitles, zooms, and repackaging a VOD into watchable videos is not “transformative enough".
This is a clear false ban. I need someone to actually go through B0atyClips and see that the ban does not stand up.
Ad revenue has been completely disabled for +3 months now.
I've gotten 4 rejected appeals, sent +10 emails about this and created multiple support tickets with Youtube.
I’ve lost a lot of sleep trying to sort this out, while editing regularly and while trying to be a new, present father. I hate to underline parenthood at all, but getting denied again and again while knowing it's a false ban is starting to get to me.
Thanks to @Asmongold and his team for reaching out and trying to help with this case.
Thanks to @jessyttv for checking this from @B0aty's side
If you work at YouTube and can actually fix this, please help.
@TeamYouTube@YouTubeCreators
The @JoshStrifeSays channel has been suspended from @YouTube .
Please watch this video explaining why. I hope @YouTubeCreators are able to help with this.

The annoying part is that the way Youtube deals with ban is always the same
"Appeal is in process, wait for that"
"You don't have active appeal going on in order for us to check it, let us know when you are appealing"
"90 days ban "cool-off period" is final and CAN'T BE REVERTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE"
Even though, I've tried to convey that I truly think there is either a miscommunication at play here or just something happening that I'm not aware of and not being able to act on it since Youtube doesn't properly tell what is causing the reused content claim.
Constant loop of 3-step appeal processess on two channels, which are constantly on their cooldowns extending this from time and time again with no knowledge what is actually going on.
Why it got rejected this time? Don't know, they won't provide any extra information.
@TeamYouTube
This is bad for all livestreamers uploading their content to YouTube in different formats ⚠️
What I was just told by YouTube Support is scary, as this would make it very dangerous for any livestreamer to upload videos from their streams in multiple formats, which has been the standard for years because different viewers enjoy content in different formats.
@TeamYouTube, this would mean that livestreamers who upload their livestreamed content as:
- VODs
- Highlights
- Dedicated videos
- Clips as regular videos
- Shorts
could be in danger of getting suspended from the YouTube Partner Program, making them unable to monetize their videos anymore and forcing them to go through the appeal process.
Based on what I was told, livestreamer channels that upload the same underlying content in multiple formats could fall under the reused content policy and be disqualified from YPP.
I have permission to use all of the footage I work with. The channels I work on and with are no different from other livestreamers who have multiple channels for their content, or who have dedicated people editing and reformatting their content into different formats so it can reach different audiences.
Please look through my case. I truly believe this is a false YPP suspension.
I'm confident if this is the case, I have been falsely suspended from Youtube Partner Program.
If not, I would really appreciate an actual comment on what caused all of this, even vaguely to not mess up with any policies.
I have all the rights for the work and the editing with repackaging content provides a lot of value to the viewers like it does with other streamer related Youtube channels
@YouTubeCreators@TeamYouTube
@vvvvisa Hi! You can clip and compile your own videos, that’s not what the policy is about
Here’s an explainer from 2 years ago: https://t.co/tmfR47lJkT

@SawneeBean It might help to think about Youtube channels as shows.
You usually don't like if the style and pacing of your show completely change from what you're used to every time you open a new episode.
Thanks for replying this, you make great content about these topics.
This further just makes me confused why my channel that is exactly this got suspended from YPP.
https://t.co/hDLWHYEv43 - this one got the reused content claim. I have permissions from the creator to do this.
https://t.co/PS6RIcmSRO - this channel got suspended, because it is affiliated to me.
This feels extremely bad, because I wasn't making videos on B0atyClips for over 4months and then it got suspended for reused content. Now the Josh Strife Says channel I've been active on got suspended too.
Here are the reasons why channel I owned, (B0atyClips) which was your usual streamer clips, takes, reactions, jokes, shorts etc. got suspended from Youtube Partner Program.
If you read this through, you probably understand how probably +90% of streamer related highlight/clips channels (official ones and unfofficial ones) would not be allowed on Youtube if they would enforce this ban.
I was an unlucky one I guess, since the enforcement of this ban has been harsh. After the ban appeals didn't go through, Josh Strife Says (Clip channel for Josh) got also suspened from YPP. I'm personally now permanently suspended forever from Youtube Partner Program until B0atyClips is cleared from the claim.
The weird thing is, the ban came in on B0atyClips after I had stopped operating it for over 4 months. I didn't even login to the channel during this time, suddenly it was suspended.
This all has almost completely ruined my small video editing work I was able to keep working on thanks to the ad revenue allowing me to dedicated the time whilst working fulltime, taking care of my new family and doing my other real life duties.
I have almost no hope for this anymore, if anybody at @TeamYouTube or somebody who has any contacts can try to look at this and sort it out properly I would appreciate it a lot.
Received the reply today:
Thanks for your patience. After a careful review, our team confirmed that monetization of both channels was correctly suspended for violating YouTube's Monetization Policies. While we know this isn't the outcome you were hoping for, this decision is final.
After my false reused content ban, I've been unable to not see all of these false bans on Youtube.
When the best way to actually get it sorted is to reach out on X, it gives out a big message about how bad the Youtube support is right now.
Most likely this is AI youtube channel flood being solved by Youtube by increasing the amount of AI in their ban related processes.
Man is this depressing
Can you please provide me with the next steps? It's very frustrating to give you what you need, but you don't answer back to this message. The original ban is a false ban.
Burnt out from trying to get unbanned from Youtube, going to make more videos about my +10 years of video editing experience to my own channel and other projects like automations and home servers.
I guess it is time to move onto other projects from Youtube as there seems to be no hope in getting the ban resolved. I'm not able to monetize any channels in the future as of right now so this is just for the love of the game and art for now.

I got claimed with "reused content" for a twitch stream highlight channel that had good repackaging, more edits when needed etc. I had permission to run the channel.
The reused content claim has suspended me forever from Youtube Partner Program, making me unable to earn from Youtube.
This claim is a false one, since there is nothing out of the ordinary when compared to any other streamer clips/videos/shorts/highlights channel
This is ridiculous. It's the 4th month of sending appeals on both channels
@YouTubeCreators
If anyone at @YouTubeCreators or @YouTube is able to have an actual human look at this, not just give an ai response.
Visa, clip channel guy, has worked so hard on this and deserves to have his channel monetized again.
If this ban is legit, then NO clip channels can exist.
Josh Strife Hayes clip channel is now banned from Youtube Partner Program until December 13th.
The original ban for affiliated channel is false, making this a repeating loop since it is not properly checked or reasoned why it is actually banned in the first place.
https://t.co/hDLWHYF2TB - suspended from YPP for "reused content" -> this is a false ban. If this would be correct, there would be a reason to ban all of the twitch/highlight channels
https://t.co/PS6RIcnqHm - suspended from YPP because of affiliated ownership.
At this pace, it is going to be banned from earning any ad revenue for +6months and this is most likely going to get rejected again without getting an actual human to review the case.
@YouTubeCreators this is getting ridiculous, please review this
The clip channel 'Josh Strife Says' is still wrongfully demonetised and after the latest appeal, has actually been removed from the @YouTube partner program....
Is this a punishment for appealing too many times?
