Remember when I met Tammy Macintosh and wiped half a face of makeup on her blazer because she was hugging me so tight?
I don’t think I’m ever gonna forget.

@ElsiesWoke@d78930305 Women cannot be protected from discrimination because TERFs and right wing nut jobs are spending all their energy focusing on the 0.10% of people who identify as trans women instead of real issues women face
@rholland02@DrHoenderkamp Ah yes, you’re right. Time to get rid of all those ‘rapping’ male staff from women’s prison who are more likely to sexually abuse inmates than the FIVE trans women currently housed in women’s prisons in the entire UK 🫠
@msg_atthebeep @rottengirl @Waltersburner76 Don’t blame non-binary and gender fluid people for this. The majority of people who identify as gender fluid just want to be themselves and be accepted. They shouldn’t be erased/punished because of the actions of a few people who aren’t even genuine members of that community
@CaliSouther@An_elf_pirate Ellen Barkin publicly talks about how he threw a wine bottle and supplied with a hypnotic drug before they slept together for the first time. And though Winona Ryder has denied any abuse, she has spoken about how her first boyfriend at 18 (Depp) used to ‘smash everything’
@An_elf_pirate “In 2009, Amber was wrongfully accused for an incident that was misinterpreted and over-sensationalized by two individuals in a power position,” - Tasya van Ree, who was the girlfriend in question and has expressed public support for Amber
Kevin Spacey has accusations from over 30 different men. Anybody celebrating his “innocence” is truly delusional.
I wouldn’t even defend anybody with one accuser let alone 30+. But people do not care about victims of sexual assault. It’s still “fuck Kevin Spacey” over here!
@clarinetmoonesc Right? I was scratching my head both times he was saying about Australia like they’ve only NQ once and that was also the year they couldn’t compete in person. They’ve done pretty well every other year.
@clarinetmoonesc @thinkabouttngs Misread you and thought you were referring to Norway this year.
Obviously things can change drastically, I'm not saying it can't. But I think for Austria this year, the running order screwed them, not out of winning but of the literal 9 points they needed to make top 10.
@apklein51@esc_florin Jurors gave these countries more points that the televote so it was the public that were too busy giving other countries points and neglected these gems, mostly because they were given terrible spots in the running order.
@thinkabouttngs @clarinetmoonesc Just further evidence that running order has a big impact to be fair. Norway performed first in the semi and were on later in the final. Its definitely not to only reason but it is a big factor.
@coralinevol1 ‘Jury rigged’ meaning winning the competition by scoring the highest combined total of jury and public votes as are the rules of the competition, that every country knows when they sign up.
@clarinetmoonesc Come on dude, Finland were the perfect opener. Setting the tone, getting the fans invested and it would've barely hurt their score because everyone would remember it for being such a great opener.
@OutOfBedSadly@EsmaJansen Finland did really well with the jury. Not as well as a few others, but still great considering it was entertainment value over vocals. How were they robbed exactly? They all know what they signed up for
