@Huckledog1@juliaioffe First, his reference to launching nukes is implicit. As such, it's a tactic to project power and intimidate.
Second, you don't fully grasp MAD doctrine. It's based on not only retaliation but the size/volume of weaponry and the inherent deterrent of any one power's first strike.
@Huckledog1@juliaioffe "The world canโt tolerate an endless nuclear gun to its head."
How do you think the Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD) doctrine works? And has worked for the last 77 years?
What is the endgame, the strategy of #victory, or to put it differently, the vision for #conflict#resolution in #Ukraine? What are feasible scenarios of future relations between #Russia and the #West? Some thoughts. Highly speculative and simplified.๐งต1/9
@JuliaDavisNews Have you seen this one? Basically "Say it! Say Glory to Ukraine, or by God I'll swear I'll pull this car over right now!"

@ruthbenghiat What about if he feels backed into a corner? Can we expect an escalation of destruction? Scorched Earth policy? Tactical nukes? ICB nukes?
