“If this continues, and I have more controllers who decide they can’t come to work, can’t control the airspace, but instead have to take a second job — with that, you might see 10 percent would have been a good number, because we might go to 15 percent or 20 percent,” Duffy stated at a Breitbart News event.

The announcement comes in the wake of the FAA's announcement that it will be gradually reducing flights by 10% due to staffing shortages for air traffic controllers.

“Could it go there? That’s possible. There’s no plan for that,” Duffy told The Hill, injecting even more uncertainty into the chaotic mix. “I assess the data and how many controllers I have, and I’m just saying we’re going to make decisions based on what we see in the airspace to make sure we keep it safe. I hope it goes the other direction.”

The busiest travel day of the year, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, is right around the corner and once again we see that Republicans are incapable of doing anything right. They're utterly incapable of governing and are actively making every aspect of American life more expensive, less convenient, and more infuriating.

It's worth remembering that this entire shutdown is a result of Republicans refusing to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies. They are so hellbent on rising healthcare costs that they've shut down the government to accomplish it. The moment that they cave is the moment all of our lives will improve.
