🚨 Menstruation doesn’t stop in a humanitarian crisis.
That's why @UNFPA distributes dignity kits which contain supplies such as pads, soap and a flashlight.

Together for a #PeriodFriendlyWorld 🌍
Through the Uzazi Salama project, @Amref_Kenya restores dignity and opportunity for schoolgirls by providing dignity kits and menstrual hygiene education. We believe that no girl should miss class because of her period. When girls are supported to manage menstruation safely, they stay in school, learn better, and thrive.

But we can't stop now. Let’s keep going until every woman is healed.

At #IDEOF2026 celebrations, @MOH_Kenya reaffirmed its commitment to women living with obstetric fistula in not just words, but in policy, infrastructure, and people on the ground.
"Since February 2026, Kenya has rolled out a continuum of care for fistula, developed policies, guidelines, and surgical training materials to strengthen prevention and treatment." - Dr Edwin Serem, Head of the Division of (RMNCAH) and Deputy Director of Reproductive Health @MOH_Kenya
Today, 13 trained fistula surgeons operate across 20 treatment sites nationally, with the government actively working with counties to establish a site in every county.
And reaching women where they are? That's the work of 107,000 trained #CommunityHealthPromoters, creating awareness, reducing stigma, and ensuring women are referred to the care they need and deserve.
The workforce is ready and we must now ensure that no woman is left behind.
