@SteveSkojec @mandy_sparks I've had similar experiences, and I have a friend who had a ridiculously "coincident" narrative leading up to a disastrous marriage. I don't know that there are answers. His take was that she just didn't live up to what she was supposed to do.

@SteveSkojec I think two things have to happen: 1. Each partner has to apply Christian teachings to his/her part in the marriage and 2. Each partner has to be willing to wait on God for changes in the other because people change slowly
