@SteveSkojec@Li34041 There's something really unique about hearing the consecration in Aramaic, and the Ordinariate high mass is quite nice as well. I'd encourage you to check them out.
@SteveSkojec@Li34041 Have you tried Byzantine, Maronite, or Anglican Ordinariate services? They all have more reverent vibes without the TLM sub-culture.
@SteveSkojec This has been a legitimate struggle since becoming Catholic. I feel like I behaved better as a Protestant, though confession has helped with learning some humility and obedience.
this is insanely smart
how quants build trading strategies that don't fall apart in real life (full guide)
if I had known this a year ago - I would have saved months of testing.
this isn't youtube theory. these are methods used by professional quants.
Daniel Bloch laid it all out back in 2016 in "A Practical Guide to Quantitative Volatility Trading" - one of the most rigorous practical guides to quantitative strategies ever written.

Google Brain founder, Andrew Ng:
"100% of my tasks are done by ai agents, self-improving loops are next.
Give it 3-6 months and prompting is gone."
31 minutes of clear explanation on building self-improving agents from scratch.
Worth more than any $500 agentic course.
Watch it, then read the full guide on loops below.
๐จ Anthropic just showed a 27-minute workshop on how to actually do prompts for Claude.

I've seen $300 courses that don't cover what they teach in the first 8 minutes.

@JamesAFurey Or they are far more detail-oriented than what you are expecting. Forty-five minutes to an hour on college prep senior papers is not unreasonable at all.
@Razorsnack I once worked with a consultant who left a $200,000/yr job to teach Geometry. She stayed one year. She said teaching was by far the hardest work she had done with higher stress and more hours than her consulting job.
@anymanfitness I've been a teacher for 18 years, and I've probably averaged 3 hours a day extra. It's what you do if your students need it and you have the ability to do so. Idk what you taught, but grading senior essays can easily add 20 hours/week.
@miles_commodore Teacher here. Some of my students couldn't figure out how to get a monthly salary from an annual because they didn't know how many months were in a year.
@SteveSkojec@mandy_sparks I've had similar experiences, and I have a friend who had a ridiculously "coincident" narrative leading up to a disastrous marriage. I don't know that there are answers. His take was that she just didn't live up to what she was supposed to do.
@SteveSkojec I think two things have to happen: 1. Each partner has to apply Christian teachings to his/her part in the marriage and 2. Each partner has to be willing to wait on God for changes in the other because people change slowly
