Good morning, @customsNG.
In the videos below, one of your men simply known as ‘Aboribo Custom’ can be seen on the left side of the screen brutalising two civilians for attemptiing to record videos in a smugglling zone in Oloko, Badagry.
What secrets exactly are you hiding around Customs checkpoints to warrant assaulting two grown men in this manner?
Learn from the events that triggered #EndSARS; stop tempting the people.
The Appeal Court has quietly acquitted him. Judgment on Friday. Really sad story, one of the technicalities they used is that no one witnessed the birth of the victim so they can’t ascertain she’s a minor. Horrible judgment.
The idea that the BRICS Countries are trying to move away from the Dollar while we stand by and watch is OVER. We require a commitment from these Countries that they will neither create a new BRICS Currency, nor back any other Currency to replace the mighty U.S. Dollar or, they will face 100% Tariffs, and should expect to say goodbye to selling into the wonderful U.S. Economy. They can go find another “sucker!” There is no chance that the BRICS will replace the U.S. Dollar in International Trade, and any Country that tries should wave goodbye to America.
The 6 Division of the Nigerian Army in Port Harcourt has been detaining our founder @fisayosoyombo 3 days running.
Journalism is not a crime!
#FreeFisayoNow
I’m utterly disgusted by the arrest and detention of @fisayosoyombo in PH allegedly by officers of the Nigerian Army.
I condemn this unlawful detention and demand his immediate release.
Hounding and harassing journalists who expose institutional corruption is shameful and anti democratic.
We cannot have a country where journalism is criminalized and corruption is glorified.

Which is, impossible.
Media aide to Governor Babajide SanwoOlu has stated according to Facts available to him that some Nigerians were hunted down and executed October 2020.
Well, Story Time;
February 2021 when some of us were arrested and dehumanized by Criminals disguised as Police Officers, one said to me :
“Olorun yo iya e pe o Loruko. A ba ti fi Emi yin sofo danu… E fe ma da Ijoba lamu abi.. o je fun ara e ni brain”
Translation:
“God save your mama say you get name. We for don waste all of una for here.. na una wan dey worry govt ba? You better give yourself brain”
This was never investigated.
But why would it be? Why investigate the dehumanization or supposed intimidation that is supposed to work in your favor?
Before and after Elections, we had people come out with their full chest, with weapons.. threatening and intimidating voters.
No action was taken!!!
But why? Why take action against an oppression tactics that works for you?
There was another media aide of the Governor that left the media and proudly took bigotry to the streets.
That act and many more of such was never condemned and discouraged!!!
Of course, anything to Win!!!
We have allowed politicians who do not give a damn about us use their sycophants to sow seeds of hate amongst us .
We can no longer engage ourselves without diatribe.
Bigotry has become the order of the day.
Shame to everyone involved!
It doesn’t matter where you are from!! Wether North, South, East or West… Shame!!!
I would say that I hope this statement by the media aide to the Governor is investigated but I laugh at the thought of it.
I laugh in the last investigation panel set up by the Lagos State Government itself.
We all know how that ended.. don’t we?
LOL
How Tinubu’s Govt Chose Tuface, BasketMouth, and Ola Of Lagos As Safety Engineers for CNG!
They're still in India. Tuface is yelling ‘kuku google am,’ Basketmouth is forcing dry jokes with how he pronounces ‘namaste,’ Ola of Lagos is choking ears with ‘it’s pleeeenty!’ chant.

🗣️: "Customs officers sleep in hotels that cost N50,000 per day. They all have suites there and they are living large while people are suffering."
Callers on the #SunnySide share with @JoyceOnyemuwa their observations on rice smuggling in Nigeria.

Good morning, @customsNG.
In these videos, filmed on Saturday night, your men can be spotted at patrol stops and at checkpoints giving passes and granting thoroughfare to smugglers crossing into Lagos via Badagry.
While many of the cars were evidently smuggling rice, chicken and turkey, the contents of some cars remained unknown, with no guarantees that they did not include illicit drugs and arms.
Those who know that route will recognise Gbaji Bridge in one of the videos; nobody enters Badagry via Seme or Owode without using Gbaji.
Your continued sabotage of the economy and our collective security is no longer hidden; one day, the people will rise!
AN OPEN LETTER TO ATIKU ABUBAKAR.
🪡
Dear Alhaji Atiku Abubakar,
I write this letter with a deep sense of respect for your contributions to Nigeria and a profound concern for your legacy. For decades, you have been a significant figure in the political landscape of our country, and many have looked to you as a leader with the potential to shape Nigeria’s destiny for the better. Your story is one of perseverance, ambition, and service. But it is also one of missteps…missteps that have not only denied you the presidency but also denied Nigerians a president in you.
As Vice President during Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration, your role in steering Nigeria’s economy stands out as one of your enduring legacies. Under your leadership, the National Economic Empowerment and Development Strategy was implemented, laying the foundation for economic reforms that revitalized key sectors. You championed privatization efforts that opened up Nigeria’s economy, attracted foreign investments, and created opportunities for growth. Your tenure also saw significant strides in infrastructure and education reforms. These contributions showcased your capacity for leadership, your vision for a more prosperous Nigeria, and your commitment to public service.
It is for these reasons, sir, that many Nigerians have long believed in your potential to lead as president. But with each election cycle, it seems that destiny has eluded you,not because of a lack of merit, but because of choices that have weakened your chances and divided your base of support.
One of the most painful examples was in 2015, when you turned your back on Goodluck Jonathan and the PDP, aligning with the opposition APC. Sir, do you recall when President Jonathan reportedly knelt before you, pleading for your support for his second-term bid? That moment was not just about one man’s political survival, it was about preserving the integrity of the PDP and the stability of our nation. By rejecting his plea, you not only fractured the PDP but also set the stage for the APC to rise to power.
A party that has destroyed all the gains of democracy under your administration and taken Nigerian 50 years in retrogression in full flight.
In hindsight, had you supported Jonathan, the PDP’s zoning arrangement would have naturally favored the North in 2019, and you would have likely been the party’s consensus candidate. You denied yourself that opportunity, thinking the APC would pave your path to the presidency. But as history has shown, the APC had no plans for you beyond using your influence to weaken your own party. That decision, sir, remains one of the great miscalculations of your political career.
Your repeated insistence on contesting, even when circumstances demanded patience and diplomacy, has further alienated key constituencies. In 2023, when the PDP’s zoning principle clearly favored the South East, you refused to step aside, clinging to the dream of a northern presidency after eight years of Buhari northern presidency. This decision alienated the South East and led to the rise of Peter Obi as a credible third-force candidate.Nigerians saw in Obi the hope for a new beginning,
a hope that you, as a seasoned statesman, could have embraced and supported.Instead, your actions divided the PDP further, reducing its standing and weakening your candidacy.
Even beyond strategy, moments like the Deborah Samuel tweet incident damaged your perception among voters. Your decision to delete the tweet after backlash from certain quarters painted you as indecisive, a leader too cautious to stand firmly for justice and equity.
Sir, your legacy is at a crossroads. You have contributed immensely to this nation, but the choices you’ve made have often undermined your potential to ascend to the presidency. You are a leader who has always believed in Nigeria’s potential, yet your miscalculations have denied Nigerians a president who could have brought economic transformation and
Since February when I started writing about smuggling by Customs and by smugglers, there have been three attempts to bribe me.
First was in March and from the camp of ‘The Smuggler’. The offer was “any amount you want”. The go-between was a broadcast journalist. I instantly turned it down.
The second was in April and from someone with links to Customs. The offer was “any amount of money to end your campaign against the Customs”. Again, I rejected it without hesitating. Thanks but no thanks!
And, finally, last month, when those who sued us wanted to withdraw their lawsuit and we said no. This time, the offer was specific: N50 million. Zero percent chance I was ever going to take it.
Here’s why I’m making this public: after I resumed my social media posts on smuggling, one of my field sources contacted me to express shock. Smugglers had told him months ago that I was never going to resume because I accepted a N200m bribe. It was laughable to learn from him that ‘The Smuggler’ had gone round to other smugglers, taxing them for their financial contributions towards shushing me. Well, if you’re a smuggler and you paid someone a contribution towards quieting me, then you were scammed. I would expect smugglers to be too street-wise to be so scammed.
Public announcement: if you gave money to anyone as part of a larger sum to be handed over to me, please know that I, ‘Fisayo Soyombo, did not take it and would not take it in a thousand lifetimes. Please go back and reclaim your money!
My long-running interest in smuggling is strictly about national security and the local economy; there are no pecuniary attachments.
Good morning, @customsNG.
Per @SaharaReporters, your spokesman, Abdullahi Maiwada, described as “fictitious”, my revelation that your officers had colluded with smugglers to bring in more than 2,000 cars containing 65 bags of 50kg rice each, amounting to at least 6,500,000kg of rice (not even 130,000kg as I first calculated)!
Since Maiwada considers my revelations ‘tales by moonlight’, I am supplying two more video evidence of smuggling-ready rice cars merely awaiting final clearance from rogue Customs officers.
If, after this, Maiwada still considers my revelations fictitious, I’m happy to share more videos with you. I’m just trying to be useful to you, so you can in turn be useful to Nigerians rather than your pockets!
This is a blatant lie, I was in court with them. They’re minors, not adults who have married or went to the university. They don’t speak English
Parents/relatives that are inside the court are not up to six, as I spoke with them. None of them even brought any younger ones along
