@humnewspakistan Then why can't rest of the country get electricity at Rs. 3.5 per unit, are the rest also not considered Pakistani? Or there is a segregation within a nation that claims to protect the rights of everyone equally? How do you intended to unite a nation when they don't pay the same
For most men not being able to get the big house, expensive cars or flying to different countries does not scare them. What scares them more is not being able to be in a position to be a provider and to give their families the life they deserve.
The Gambia is not a serious country. Where are those that were out protesting for an alleged rapist?? Some of you were covering up with BabyMuhammed’s name. This is the right time to be on the street. Misplaced priorities. 66 children and you’re not out on the street to protest?
The scary thing about this is that we only know of these drugs because their effects have been immediate. I wonder how many off the shelf meds contain unacceptable amounts of these same and other toxins that are harmful to our health in the long term.
@Fantitafofana@DrMariam_Jaw@LaminOBeyai@Galleh_MD@Borderline_MD Say ALHAMDULILLAH that you had 30 minutes, see me I am yet to have it from my oncall last night oncall ☹☹ and I am expected to smile with my pts and colleagues when I am psychologically/physicall drained. ..
@DrMariam_Jaw@LaminOBeyai@Galleh_MD@Borderline_MD Last Wednesday when I was oncall, 5 teams met me there and 4 teams left me there. As in morning, afternoon, night, following morning and afternoon teams. I only left the following day’s afternoon team there. Mind you I had only 30 minutes of sleep in the consultation room.
We had one at Ndemban on Monday. Just luck that it wasn’t serious really. No fire alarms, no extinguishers, no evacuation procedures…and to add salt the fire services came and thought it wise to use water to put out an electrical fire
Patients perspective: When my sickness started, i was told by my friend that my liver problem cannot be cured in The Gambia which made me lost hope in life. After the treatment I received from the GI-EFSTH team i got better and indeed I am happy and very grateful to your team.
I called my son (12 years old) at the mosque: Ahmad take my phone and listen to Ameer ulmomeneen on YouTube MTA English or Arabic, you don’t understand Urdu. He said: it’s okay mama I love his voice!
🥺!.. #Alhamdulillah
It doesn't mean you're Mad
Technically speaking There's No one that is Mad
The naked man or woman you see walking on the road with filthy clothes and unkempt look also has a Mental health problem but was neglected
Get him or her to a Rehab, and you'd be shocked at the outcome
Moving from one @Ecobank to another like a vascular system trajectory in search of @ATM. I'm still following instructions- ATM is offline. Kindly proceed to the next ATM branch. Might see myself in Basse before evening! Painstaking instructions!😂😂.. @Borderline_MD@LaminOBeyai
This thread says everything about working as a doctor in The Gambia. I am resuming work tomorrow after a 2 week leave and I am not happy because I am going back to a toxic environment. Toxic! Toxic! Toxic! When will Africa progress? We need a change and we need it now.
Having empathy out here is a curse as so many only care when they are directly affected. It can be very tiring & often used as a weapon against you. The overall benefits on the face of it, seem very few. I still pray to never lose it, though sometimes temporarily wouldn’t be bad
Lessons from #Dubai for #African countries: Dubai is in the desert but the authorities are doing everything possible to make the place look green by planting trees. Other African countries even in the rain forest are not doing the same...WHY, WHY, WHY???

There was a time when we had a man of class, Sir Chaudhry Zafarullah Khan as Pakistan's Foreign Minister who shined globally by winning us many diplomatic battles & strengthened Pakistan's image, but now none of the ministers appears to hold the same caliber or anywhere near.
