@steven18613@ClintRegert@NotEvolution1 The key point is that earth was lucky. All luck. We should not exist, yet we do. It's just luck that we didn't need trillions of years to evolve.
@Whoopsotheclown@JacobAwsum@ClintRegert@NotEvolution1 It matters as we now know for certain that life can come from non-life. Some planet out there will have the same conditions as required, without a creator, so life will be born.
@JacobAwsum@ClintRegert@NotEvolution1 We have proof that life can come from non-life. There are trillions of planets in the universe. It's reasonable that, at least on one of them, the conditions created by the scientists will be met without a creator. It's a game of chances.
@ClintRegert@NotEvolution1 Not if you have like 7 billion years and trillions of planets. It's a game of chance. Since abiogenesis exist, it's reasonable that even without a God, the conditions to create life will be met, because the universe is just that vast.
@MartinTweats How do we disprove God though? You say he exists beyond reality, beyond creation etc. If it doesn't fall within the physical world, or affect it in someway, it's a forever hypothesis. We cannot proof or disprove something that's intentionally made to be beyond all classifications
@ttgeeker79464@mrnew212 That's a sad thing actually; our own people sold themselves to serve your kind. Don't worry, we won't be making that mistake again ;)
@RevIsaacWirtz Difference is we treat that "something" as stuff that we can discover in due time, with research and trial and error. Religions think they already have the answer, and they say that with zero proofs.
@SaintEcclesia@CryptoESP_710@Heavennbound Beyond even this atheist-theist debate, I hate that Luke line. It says humans are inherently less loving that God. I can accept being powerless inf front of God, but I like to believe that human compassion can be unfathomable as well.
@SaintEcclesia@CryptoESP_710@Heavennbound Jesus is not proof of God. My criteria is a miracle (not a healing miracle, but a spontaneous, observable miracle, like Water into Wine) must occur, and be recorded, and tested, by scientists. It must be impossible to perform by humans, and must be tested rigorously.
@SaintEcclesia@CryptoESP_710@Heavennbound I hate the women's role based verses in Timothy and Corinthians. And that verse in Luke. 14:26, I think; basically a happy man cannot be his disciple.
@SaintEcclesia@CryptoESP_710@Heavennbound You are still taking God as a fact. I repeat, he is a hypothesis. Why should I be obedient to a hypothesis? Your definition of sin is defined by disobedience to God. Its like you are God's servant. Why must I play servant to a hypothesis?
