In light of the continued volatile situation caused by the occupation in downtown Ottawa, we have to extend the closure of the NAC for another week. This means our programming between now and Sunday, February 20, will be rescheduled.
It comes with a colour palette matched to the original Desmos colours and uses functions studied in our pre-calculus courses.

To help children meet their power needs:
🕯️Offer choice, not orders
💡Give responsibility
🕯️Ask for their opinion
💡Ask for their help

There's a lot going on in the world right now & as a result a lot of #stress. #SelfReg is needed now more than ever. 💕 There are many free resources and stories on our website. You never know whose trajectory may change by sharing! Share away! https://t.co/GGjAraB4We
We have come to terms with the fact that no matter what decision we make - schools open vs. schools closed; synchronous vs. asynchronous; in-person learning vs. remote learning - it will never satisfy our entire community.
All we hope for is kindness and that you are safe.
Today we remember and celebrate Martin Luther King Jr., a man who advocated the use of nonviolent means to end racial segregation and became a prominent civil rights leader.
What a month this week has been for #educators! Online, in person, extreme weather, pandemic stress. We want to know, HOW are YOU doing?
Thank you to you ALL for being there for our kids. ❤️
YOU ARE THE STRATEGY.🌟

A HUGE shoutout to the custodians who’ve braved this weather to open schools and make them safe. Many of whom are also double checking if students arrive!! #ddsb@DDSBSchools
This #MLKDay, we feel this quote embodies how educators help kids grow to be their authentic selves: "The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character–that is the goal of true education."-Martin Luther King Jr.
