@TheAA_UK not quite "big enough" to get my family including two children back home without needing three separate recovery vehicles and a taxi it seems. Dropping us at the services to wait 5 hours for another recovery truck with no updates constitutes being "the best" does it?
@TheAA_UK I get that but no updates for 5 hours other than when we phoned you and when the final recovery truck turns up they tell me they don't have room for us all and WE needed to call YOU back to arrange a taxi. Maybe you need to be "bigger and better" at communicating.
We are at Alexandra Palace attending The Cycle Show & London E-Bike Festival 2022, where some members of our bike team got to meet a couple of their cycling heroes.
LONSAR is celebrating Volunteer Recognition Day with a big thank you to our entire team. We come from all walks of life, but all share a goal to help end preventable loss of life in London.
Everyone in LONSAR dedicates a lot of personal time in training to national standards and attending callouts. Our Navigation Lead, Al is taking his training to another level and running the 2022 London Marathon to raise much needed funds for our charity.
Yesterday, members of the Team supported the Metropolitan Police at The Warren, as part of the ‘KickOff@3’ initiative.

Below are few pictures from yesterday’s event.
We were tasked on Friday 5 March, to support the Met Police in the search for Sarah Everard. We always search with the hope of a successful outcome, and we are sad to learn that this time it was not the case. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Sarah's family& friends
We would like to say a huge thank you to the London Fire Brigade, who yesterday
generously donated an ex-response vehicle for use by the Team.
The vehicle will be used to provide incident support to the Team during callouts, specifically to our specialist Water and K-9 Units.
Tonight, is the first of our up and coming recruitment webinars, where potential new Team Members can find out and ask questions as to what it’s like being a Search Technician, and the specialist roles within the Team?
Our next webinar is on the 22nd October.
"Why does London need a Search & Rescue Team?"
It's a question I get asked a lot when telling people about @LONDONSARUK and the work we do.
