@elonmusk To those organizations that receive funding to treat the homeless, the homeless is their raw material. If the raw material doesn't exist, the company can't produce what it's being paid to produce. It goes out of business.

@elonmusk It's a simple case of the incentive not aligning with the desired outcome. Countless organizations and non-profits receive funding to treat the homeless, feed the homeless, house the homeless, and provide other care for the homeless. If there are no homeless, they are unemployed.

@elonmusk If you really want to cure homelessness, you have to align the incentive. Organizations would get paid for every person that used to be homeless that isn't anymore and they don't get paid for any homeless person that stays homeless.

Of course, the possibility of that technology being scaled to a production car, just like Toyota's possibility of scaling their battery to a production car, is near impossible.
