@tnbutler1@NamebaseHQ As opposed to the platforms that charge $50,000 for a name? Or the ones that close down after there's not another drop of blood to squeeze from the turnip?
@EskimoSoftware@NamebaseHQ@Shake_Station@HNS +1 for consistency with the whitepaper, but "change" has other meanings that require definitional context. Both words are fine, and you can't lose either way. I'm just yapping. ๐
@aleedotg@receipts_lol I own .palestine on Handshake. Been looking for something non-profit to do with it for years. Why don't we give away free DIDs and SLDs to Palestinian people? We could also make http://palestine/ the home for content on the decentralized web.
@erwingroen ICANN creating a .wallet for another company maybe creates a problem for the other company. Not for us.
We're not disbanding .wallet because a company decides to start a new one on their own infrastructure.
@FxWallet@HNS I have secured, and would like to gift to you, the https://t.co/aDHq4MZeIN token fx.wallet
Please DM me so that I may begin this transfer to you.
@HailstormSquash@ReclaimTheNetHQ Or you could join the Handshake club. Handshake manages DNS entries for top-level domains on a blockchain. You control the keys.
@hnsbroker@Premier_Domains@ChyrychAndrei1@NamebaseHQ@opensea@github "Self hosted email server with HNS domain" - I love this. I created a multi-domain Handshake email server in a lab using Apache James. It worked great for imap and pop clients. I've been wondering when a service would come to allow staking TLDs to mail capabilities and protocols.
@Premier_Domains@hnsbroker@ChyrychAndrei1@NamebaseHQ@opensea Valid question and points. I knew utility would be lacking. Currently, the utility is what https://t.co/aDHq4MYGTf provides, and maybe there is future thunderbolt usage? We need integrations for all SLD tokens. I hope our pricing of these domains recognized any lacking utility.
@DoctorGonz0@hns_id_bot@HNS_ID @namehunter_eth Icann? ๐ค Maybe. There are upsides and downsides. Handshake needs to stay censorship-resistant and decentralized. As long as Handshake domains (TLDs, SLDs, tokens) dictate the ICANN bridge, and not vice-versa, then it's a good thing. Otherwise, you're just centralizing Handshake.
