@SWRRLY - great to see guard being super considerate trying to make sure every customer possible gets on the 00.01 to Shepperton at Vauxhall station - he went the extra mile - a perfect example of great service and attitude - good fella !!!!!!
@PoppyLegion Thank you @RMTunion - this makes a massive difference for many people benefiting from the support of RBL @PoppyLegion and underlines the approach your Union has had throughout the action. A good decision!
@Jimmy83Ellis@PoppyLegion Yes I agree - fortunately RBL support workers every day. Supporting workers strike action and supporting this day of fundraising don’t need to have been mutually exclusive. Ie my original point.
@Jimmy83Ellis@PoppyLegion It is a thing but you are right it’s not a day of remembrance - that’s 11th November and Remembrance Sunday (13th this yr).
#londonpoppyday is a fundraising day and has been so for a decade or more with as far as I’m aware with the support of transport workers.
@ClyjoDegla71@PoppyLegion You are also right but if collecting raises over £1m on London Poppy Day each yr then those are likely to be spontaneous donations that otherwise are less likely to be actively made. This is after 2 yrs of huge losses of income for @PoppyLegion during Covid due to no collecting.
@andyjhpool@PoppyLegion You are right it’s only the London Poppy Day and the £1m+ of funds raised at that event that are at risk on 3rd. Other events might not be affected by the strikes.
