@Jimmy83Ellis @PoppyLegion It is a thing but you are right it’s not a day of remembrance - that’s 11th November and Remembrance Sunday (13th this yr).
#londonpoppyday is a fundraising day and has been so for a decade or more with as far as I’m aware with the support of transport workers.

@ClyjoDegla71 @PoppyLegion You are also right but if collecting raises over £1m on London Poppy Day each yr then those are likely to be spontaneous donations that otherwise are less likely to be actively made. This is after 2 yrs of huge losses of income for @PoppyLegion during Covid due to no collecting.

@andyjhpool @PoppyLegion You are right it’s only the London Poppy Day and the £1m+ of funds raised at that event that are at risk on 3rd. Other events might not be affected by the strikes.
