@galwaygirl0629@TheSEFilesPod I believe Becca will eventually be charged. It is clear to the authorities that she lied to the them when she gave false testimony about Jacob. I think the narrative at the end is to illustrate Robin's PTSD and Murphy's dismissive attitude and his emotional range of a teaspoon.
@Wheretty I know what you mean. I normally read crime fiction and found it hard to get through. You might find the Ryder and Loveday series by Faith Martin interesting.

@Wheretty The publication of Rita Skeeter's book may have triggered his anger. He may have been inundated with questions and furious about having to set the record straight. Remember Aunt Muriel at the wedding.
@Wheretty@MauraLeamy Perhaps Newt! A wizard wouldn't expect a hex from a muggle. Also if other wizards see "Jacob" doing magic, it may assuage suspicions that Jacob is a muggle.
@Wheretty@MauraLeamy I think Jacob might be holding a fake wand in order to blend in and possibly to avoid being oblivated. It would be a dangerous world for him to be in.
@Wheretty I've often wondered if Dudley was a wizard that suppressed his magic because of the abuse the Dursley's inflicted on Harry.
