I've been traveling the world a bit. One of the most incredible experiences was getting to visit Taiwan w/ @JensenHuang. It was wild 🤯.. huge crowds of engineers, insanely good street food at night markets, and of course a lot of good conversations across many days. I caught some of it on video, see below. 聽鄧麗君版的《中華民國頌》，沒有意外，再次淚目。

這首歌是劉家昌在1978年底創作的。

當時，美國要和中華民國斷交，臺灣上下情緒低落，需要一首提振人心的歌曲，《中華民國頌》應運而生。

而在臺美斷交消息公布的當晚，另一首出名的愛國歌曲也誕生了，這就是侯德健的《龍的傳人》。

卡特政府本以爲臺灣會靜悄悄地接受斷交的事實，但想不到，臺灣隨即就展開了極其强悍的國會斡旋。

這令美國國會在1979年以壓倒性多數通過了《臺灣關係法》。

這部法律不僅推翻了卡特政府的很多原意，還明確規定美國必須提供防禦性武器給台灣，成爲了後來幾十年臺美關係的基石。

It was an incredible honor to receive the National Medal of Science from @POTUS today.

My parents came to America with big dreams and a deep belief in education and hard work. This country gave me the opportunity to pursue my passion for semiconductors and work with extraordinary people to push the boundaries of what is possible.
