When buying medication in Canadian pharmacies, even for exactly the same product, prices can vary significantly. Don't pay more than you need to.
For example, this over-the-counter eye drop costs CAD 42.95 (HYLO GEL 0.2% Gel Opht.)at one pharmacy, but the same product is sold for CAD 74.71 at Pharmaprix. Once purchased, it cannot be returned.
Another eye ointment costs CAD 18.99 (OCUNOX 0 Onguent) elsewhere, while Pharmaprix charges CAD 29.47 for the same item. As with the eye drops, it cannot be returned once paid for.
Based on these price differences, Pharmaprix appears to charge substantially higher prices for certain products. Consumers are therefore advised to compare prices carefully before purchasing and may wish to consider other pharmacies.
