ICASA 2025 in Retrospect: Deepening Collaboration for Impact
The 2025 International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA) ended, marking a successful week of learning, collaboration, and shared commitment to strengthening the HIV response across the continent.
Key sessions included panel discussions to solicit stakeholder feedback and recommend approaches to strengthen our strategies, alongside programmatic and data presentations highlighting progress from JanuaryโNovember 2025.
A key highlight was the outreach to the Sahara community, where the delegation engaged directly with PUDs and witnessed the powerful impact of our peer-led harm reduction interventions.
Last week, WAPCAS Plus was honoured to welcome a delegation from the Open Society Foundations to our Drop-in Centres in Adabraka and Kumasi as part of their visit to Ghana to engage with key stakeholders on ongoing drug policy reforms.
