@OrthodoxPole81 I read the book "Glorified in America" containing various saints who came to America in the past 2 centuries. I read multiple times the Tsar provided church funds, purchased liturgical items for parishes, and awarded clergy with high honors for exceptional service.
@RRR0BYN@Rach4Patriarchy I had this when my LCMS church reopened in 2021. We all took it in unison in our pews with the pastor’s blessing. This single event among other aspects of my faith made me question it. Then I sought the Orthodox Church after listening to Roosh talk about it and didn’t look back.
@HabemusMalleum It was the first Orthodox-related thing I ever bought in my church's shop after my first divine liturgy. I only wish it was more pocketable.
@WillChiggers@OrthoTexan70 You can get it from Holy Trinity Monastery here: https://t.co/qhuJfV5Rfj
Holy Cross Monastery also has it: https://t.co/8wqrSh7AAp
@RomanOrthodoxy I read about his life in Glorified in America and I found it inspiring. He was a truly stalwart defender of the Church, beloved by his flock, and well-travelled. St. Tikhon, pray for us!
@C2Antiquity@TurnipMerchant As a former LCMS congregant, this is a real shame. Before my dive into Orthodoxy, I thought my high church would remain this way on top of being conservative, but this is concerning to see, at the very least. This is what I’d expect the ELCA to do and I wouldn’t bat an eye.
