@ramit Weak, you just don’t have a good answer to the concept that every person does not in fact have a right to live wherever they want regardless of the imposition on current property owners. If you want someone else’s property you have to take it, read a history book
@ramit “The homeowners in your neighborhood band together to prevent more housing from being built” yes we did. We also voted not to incorporate so we wouldn’t be subject to city regulations. Yes, properties here are not cheap, and no it’s not a bad thing.
@tanpukunokami About half of US households have a registered gun. The areas with more gun control have more gun deaths. So you are much safer in areas with less gun control.
@north0fnorth I don’t understand why urbanists try to force people who like space & privacy to crowd into cities where the morass of humanity collides, crime, filth, congestion. you like the city, fine. I don’t, leave me alone. You are not morally superior because you can coexist with filth
@ducksays As someone who was that guy and whose mortgage was 50% of my income, no, ride it out, will be fine down the line, mortgages devalue your income will increase.
@theficouple And the median income in 1995? $34k so if your parents made $75k they were making more than twice the median, not pushing carts at target.
@DiegoRoyet29 Absolutely, so many useless people running around holding up a piece of paper as if that is evidence of their worth. At least the bricklayer is building something of value.
