Russia has just put a missile into the National Academy of Sciences in Kyiv, a building full of researchers rather than soldiers, while crews still dig through the rubble for anyone trapped inside. The same day brought strikes on a pharmaceutical company, on petrol stations, on a business centre in Dnipro and on civilian infrastructure across the country. People died. That is what a peaceful neighbour gets from Moscow on an ordinary Monday.

And while it happens, the world sees an American movement siding with the enemy of the West. MAGA, too frightened of Putin to stand up to him, told Ukraine to do the cowardly thing on its behalf: lie down, hand over the land, and leave the wives, the children and the men to Moscow.
