We are publicly asking @SeattlePD and @GovBobFerguson to consider reopening the Kurt Cobain case.
In 1994, authorities publicly characterized Cobain’s death as self-inflicted before a full forensic analysis could be completed.
In 2005, then-SPD Chief Gil Kerlikowske asked former Capt. Neil Low to audit the case. Low was given full access to the case file and concluded the evidence pointed to a homicide and that the case should be reopened.
In 2025, a multidisciplinary team published a peer-reviewed study in the International Journal of Forensic Sciences concluding that its analysis of the publicly available evidence was inconsistent with a self-inflicted death and supported homicide.
We believe Kurt Cobain’s death deserves to be investigated as a potential homicide, without beginning from the preconceived assumption that it was self-inflicted. Whoever was responsible could be walking free to this day.
For those who want to examine the evidence for themselves, see our full investigation here: https://t.co/deWbbQ6onI
Meanwhile, you might be out of work, financially exposed and struggling to obtain the evidence needed to challenge that decision. A right you can't realistically enforce has very limited practical value.

Sounds about right - Aus workplaces have deteriorated significantly over recent decades (particularly in terms of workplace psychological harm, individual bargaining power and facing retaliation for daring to challenge management).
You might suspect a decision was retaliatory/discriminatory, but most don't have the resources, evidence or financial security to effectively challenge it. The power imbalance matters. Employers may have HR teams, legal advisers, internal records and resources to fight the claim.
@itxMaggei I have so many questions.
* WTF is wrong with the red skin over those muscles? Cellulitis?
* Apparently, men's bodies progress naturally from "Marathon runner” → “Marvel audition” → “Marvel audition but on the juice” → “competitive bodybuilder” → “suddenly quite fat”.
@Evren103 Never seen a more boring set of asses in my life. Besides skin colour they're all the same. Half the fun in admiring women from all over the world is they look different!
Why is the @Microsoft365 service health page still showing everything is operational when it's clear many thousands of retail and enterprise customers across the globe are experiencing major service degradation?
@fuelkek Do you ever worry that people will remember you less for Tesla and SpaceX, and more for the political and social damage you caused later in your career?
@WaLu1911@SBT564 Charming. Aus has some of the strongest immigration laws globally + a tightly controlled border - that's achievable because it's an island. Not to mention laws which prevent violent radicalised dual citizens from returning home (incl. maniacs that promote political violence).
