In regards to the blue line- expect information from us later today! We will be sharing an infoguide on who to call to demand it be removed, as well as a petition demanding its removal!
Thanks to Moochie from BLM HV and Sam from WAR’s powerful leadership yesterday, we organized in front of the OC Government Center to relay a list of demands that Sheriff DuBois must respond to by 12 pm tomorrow (6/26).
If we do not hear from him, we’ll be back to protest.
We encourage all those who attend to wear a mask and do their best to social distance at this peaceful protest! We can’t wait to see your signs, hear your voices and join you in supporting #BlackLivesMatter
Although the Blue Lives Matter rally was cancelled for “safety reasons” we will still be organizing at the Courthouse to protest the blue line and support #BlackLivesMatter, TODAY at 4 pm! If you are able to, please come show your support!
It will not be tolerated and if you continue to pander to those who promote ignorance over acceptance, oppression over justice, and fail to educate yourself on the reality of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, we promise that you will be voted out in 2022. (2/2)
A blue line in the center of Florida, drawn on Juneteenth, a day that celebrates the freedom of Black people in our nation, should be considered a blatant act of hatred and symbol of division in our community. We do not stand for it and demand that it be removed.
@KarlBrabenec your statement supporting Blue Lives Matter only serves to fuel this fire. Your words are not a sign of solidarity with law enforcement. It is the denouncement of a movement that pushes for equality and fair treatment for all your constituents. (1/2)
As some of you may know, the Orange County Sheriff's department feels as though they are "under attack" and are holding a Blue Lives Matter rally tomorrow at 6 pm. Sheriff DuBois, don't worry, you'll be voted out too.
A post that has been shared referencing a law enforcement rally in Goshen this week is not sponsored or led by the Orange County Sheriff's Office or Sheriff Carl E. DuBois. Any inquiries in reference to the rally should be directed to https://t.co/tpomAqN9kR
Time to make change in our school district! Tonight at 8:30 there will be a virtual Town Hall addressing curriculum and culture in our schools. Be there!! https://t.co/YC235UMHSA
Today the hard work of change begins.
I signed an Executive Order saying that police agencies MUST sit down w/ community & adopt reform plans by April 1 to be eligible for state funds.
It's time to put pen to paper & enact systemic reform.
No reform - No funding.
