While travelling on @TfL Underground last week, I heard the in-train announcement: “Barking currently has no step-free access from the platform to street level due to planned lift maintenance.”

I made this video to tell Dr Wesley's story — and those of countless others — who are forced to 'hack' an inaccessible transport system just to get to places.

This is transport injustice.

No one should have to treat barriers, workarounds, and near-injuries as routine.

@CLondoner92 Thank you so much. I did see the FOI response to your question on the bus redesign which TFL said was not feasible. Would you have any bus interior plans of the newer models (not new routemaster) on which I can draw a scheme for two wheelchair bays and propose an alternative?
