The Tejas Mk 2 enters service in meaningful numbers in the mid-2030s, assuming it ticks boxes. Reminder: the prototype has still not rolled out. It will probably be the world's only NEW fourth generation, non-stealth jet entering squadron service at that stage. Being non-stealth in that period is being obsolete. The Rafale is already in service with the IAF presently. If a agreement can be arrived at this year for more, we could see the first new deliveries of the jet to the F4/5 config starting in 2028. There is no getting away from the Rafale. Its a jet in service already, the existing ones will be upgraded to the new standard as well. What India needs is the AMCA to fill the stealth void. But don't count on that for close to another decade.

Gold may look impressive when seen in isolation, but long term comparison changes the perspective. In 10 year rolling periods, equity funds have largely stayed ahead of gold, with stronger compounded outcomes despite gold’s recent rally.

The point is uncomplicated. Wealth decisions should not be based only on how much an asset has grown. They should be viewed through comparison, data, and long term outcomes.

Threats we are facing 40 J35s with PAF, 500 J20s with 1856 GaN TRMs radar, 800 Flankers with 1m aperture radar, 600 J10s.

Rafale has no ARM missile, huge RCS with weapons load, no big radar to compensate, no integration with IACCS like Su30, outdated is an understatement

@Neetivaan @KSingh_1469 Don't think the Rafale is obsolete. Not the variants we are getting. But yes, any non-stealth platform will be increasingly vulnerable going forward. Including the Rafale despite several stealthy features it has in its design.
