@8biteric Civilization II on the PSX! We couldn't afford a PC back then, so I rented the PlayStation version and ended up playing it the entire weekend. Completely surprised me and got me hooked on the franchise for life! 🌍🏛️🎮🔥

[WaschkuecheAlu @waschkuecheAlu]

Definitely Civilization II on the PSX! We couldn't afford a PC back then, so renting it for the PlayStation was my only way to experience it. I ended up playing it the entire weekend non-stop and it completely surprised me—got me hooked on the Civ franchise for life! 🌍🏛️🎮✨
What was the best random rental surprise you ever had as a kid? 👇

[8-Bit Eric @8biteric]

What game did you rent as a kid that ended up completely surprising you?

[WaschkuecheAlu @waschkuecheAlu]

Well, it’s Neon Genesis Evangelion, so this is an instant win! I actually watched it randomly back in the day on our German TV station VOX during their late-night "Anime Night" (on Thursdays, I believe). That scene in Episode 3 when Shinji opens up EVA-01 to protect Toji and Kensuke during the fight against the Angel Shamshel literally changed my life—I was instantly hooked on anime, and especially Evangelion! 🤖🟣🔥

[WaschkuecheAlu @waschkuecheAlu]

Seeing Evangelion: 2nd Impression running on a Sega Saturn by @LoveRetroBTW hits me right in the nostalgia! I actually stumbled upon Neon Genesis Evangelion completely by accident back in the day during the legendary late-night "Anime Night" on our German TV station VOX. That intense scene in Episode 3—when Shinji opens the Entry Plug of EVA-01 to bring Toji and Kensuke inside and protect them during the fight against the Angel Shamshel—literally changed my life. From that exact moment on, I was completely hooked on anime, especially Evangelion! 🤖🟣📺✨
What was the exact anime or scene that got you hooked for life? 👇

[Andy🕹❤️RetroGaming @LoveRetroBTW]

What’s your favorite anime series of all time?

[WaschkuecheAlu @waschkuecheAlu]

@cattleprodRF @PopcornPost_ You are totally right!
Damn that was stupid.

Hear me out: Officer Sweetchuck from Police Academy!
Aka
Tim Kazurinsky!!!

[WaschkuecheAlu @waschkuecheAlu]

"Your job is to pick the worst actor possible to play T-1000" — Hear me out: Tim Kazurinsky in full cop uniform! Imagine him politely apologizing every time he morphs through a wall or nervously asking if anyone has seen John Connor. 🚓🤓🤖✨
Who is your pick for the worst (or funniest) possible T-1000 casting? 👇

[WaschkuecheAlu @waschkuecheAlu]

I bought mine years after release, but damn, it was such an awesome little guy! Loved the design and the iconic color. Also huge respect to Nintendo for having the courage to use Luigi's Mansion as a launch title when everybody wanted Mario on the new system. Awesome console! 🟪🎮👻🔥

[WaschkuecheAlu @waschkuecheAlu]

I only bought my GameCube years after its release, but damn, what an awesome little console! I always loved the cube design and that iconic purple color. Plus, you have to respect Nintendo's courage to launch it with Luigi's Mansion when everybody was expecting a traditional Mario game on the new system! Just an all-around awesome machine. 🟪🎮👻✨
What is your all-time favorite GameCube memory or game? 👇

[8-Bit Eric @8biteric]

I still think the GameCube was one of Nintendo's most interesting consoles. Weird little system with some incredible games.

[WaschkuecheAlu @waschkuecheAlu]

Even though I had my PS2 since launch day here in Germany and played it a ton, I think the original Xbox still takes the crown for me! I can't even count how many times we played through Halo, plus endless multiplayer battles and legendary LAN parties. I love the GameCube too—an awesome console that I bought later on for my collection, since I couldn't afford all three at the same time back then (even though I really wished I could!). 🎮💚💙💜

Which of the three did you spend the most time playing back in the day: GameCube, PS2, or original Xbox? 👇
