@michaelcollado no joke I once stopped going to my local Starbucks for a week and the barista working there literally questioned where I had been. He also always made my regular order before I ordered and paid. Miss you Freddy.
@Warby_bo_bandY0@nazzobetweeting same logic for electric cars so should we shame people for using cars or buses instead of just walking? you have to live in reality and use AC. Or at the very least, invest in cooling centers thats run by clean energy and just put ACs in your damn buses.
@sircalebhammer@JackMac id be perfectly fine with renting if the rent only increased at the same rate as wages were increasing. My one apartment went from $2100 to $3200 within 3 years.
@magicspeedwagon I think Europeans don’t understand how powerless alot of Americans feel. We know that climate change is real and its destroying our communities (see the Appalachian mountain communities being destroyed by hurricanes) but what else are we to do but adapt as best we can.
@magicspeedwagon we do understand the concept of climate change, especially when our own communities are dealing with the same kind of heat in areas like Washington. However, we also understand that you can’t just wish it away. We’re trying to help you not die of heat stroke.
@FortIS_55 I don’t think the European mind can comprehend that living in “this shouldn’t be happening” doesn’t solve anything. Yes climate change is creating these extreme weather events that shouldn’t be happening, but you have to live in reality.
