Water Action is a group of citizens helping CT communities to respond to the water crisis. Let's get boots on the ground and make saving water sexy! ๐ง๐ง๐ง
#DayZero pushed back 4 days, to 16 April. It's not a lot but it's a reminder: we can do this.
- Set up a Water Action committee in your neighborhood
- Reach out to that neighbour who might not be saving
- If you see a bathroom without water-saving posters, put ours up for them!
We have not defeated #dayzero until all South Africans have access to water and sanitation: Informal settlements still function on collection points & no/shared loos model.
Just in: #DayZero won't happen in 2018. Let's keep up the water saving!
- reduce flushing
- 90 second showers
- reuse water
- collect rainwater
- help others
Well done @DGMurrayTrust for bowls in basins, changing dish use and washing, and sharing a water dashboard (so I hear)--info is power! ๐ช๐พ https://t.co/nVrUc2ia3L
Your late afternoon satellite image (13 February 2018). Its a busy afternoon in the weather. Much need thundershowers over parts of the Cape with thundershowers over much of the central interior this afternoon moving slowly east. Take care and be careful on the roads.
Okay, here's the game: Retweet this with the name of a business that's doing a great job of saving water. Tell us what you like about their efforts, and tag them if you can. #WaterCrisis#ThinkWaterCT

#DayZero pushed back to 4th June. Great work, everyone. But we're in a marathon, not a sprint: let's double our efforts and keep saving water, for 2018 and beyond!

@melissafourie Which restaurants are these? Let's do the next #FlushMob there, help them out with their bathroom sign problem. (https://t.co/nq4BlVLAtF)
Att: Business-owners!
Let your customers know how you're saving water, and let them know what they can do to join you. Get your #WaterAction posters here: https://t.co/nq4BlVLAtF
Cape Town restaurants: Refusing to serve tap water to customers when you can't be bothered to limit toilet flushing (even to put up signs) in your bathrooms is moronic. #CTdrought#DayZero@wateractionCT
#ThinkWaterCT: City of Cape Town's stats reveal a spike in the number of people saving water. Now our target is 50litres - Let's keep it up! https://t.co/31Te9TiUvp
