A lovely evening at the Pollinating London Together Team Event at the IT Hall where Steve entertained us with his own Pollinating London composition and chairman John Burton outlined recent PLT successes .
Last month, our STEAM Explorers learnt about hydraulics, and were joined by expert @RobCaseyWCT. The young people made some fantastic hydraulic-powered models from craft sticks!
Later this month, we're off to visit Tower Bridge. We can't wait! 😁
Fantastic tour of the London Museum of Water & Steam by PLT Board Member Rob Casey, both learning about its history and discussing future collaboration opportunities!

Last week I visited @HolmeRiver to deliver a River Education Model to use for their school visits and events. I was also given a wonderful tour of the Holme catchment with magnificent views and to see their fantastic work to improve the catchment and environment
With Karen Jacobs from Hugh Myddelton School I enjoyed a special visit to Kew Gardens yesterday curtesy of Pollinating London Together. Dr Hauke Hoch, an expert on bees led a fascinating tour of the gardens, then I discussed WCT working with PLT on the Citizen Science project.
Hugh Myddelton School planted the seeds donated by @WaterConsvTrust to attract pollinating insects with fantastic results. This increases pollinators and via the Citizen Science project enables children to understand the importance of pollination and the different pollinators
A lovely evening attending a private viewing of Superbloom at the Tower of London followed by an engaging talk by John Burton, chair of Pollinating London Together on their important work to support pollination and biodiversity in London
It was a splendid occasion yesterday at Thorner's School in Dorset as the Water Conservators' Master Peter Hall planted a special tree and unveiled a plaque to commerate the Platinum Jubilee with officers of the Company and Trust plus the school children in attendance
Trustees met in person today rather than zoom. Discussions included potential funding for a Young Engineers Club at Kew Museum, a store with rainwater harvesting at Thorners School, Dorset, the Livery Schools Link Opportunities Fund, Student Eats, and University MSc bursaries.
