gm ppl,
we’ve got an announcement - probably our last one as watermelon hq.
from day one, our goal at watermelon ui was simple: help devs ship frontend faster.
to do that, we picked designs we loved, rebuilt them from scratch, and made them accessible for everyone.
but somewhere along the way, we got it wrong.
so we’re taking a step back. shutting down for now.
but we’re rebranding. rebuilding. and this time, creating something that is truly original to us, not inspired, not adapted, but entirely our own.
this isn’t the end. it’s a reset.
we take full accountability for our mistakes.
@designme @systemsluke @marcelkargul@adriankuleszo@heysatya_@jaydwivedi_@pizzaboy we’ve always admired your work, and we should’ve done better.
to everyone who supported us, and even those who called us out; thank you. we’ve learned a lot in this cycle.
we’ll be back, with something better and ofc unique. It was a great experience.
— shutting down watermelon HQ (for now)
gm all,
we’ve been getting a lot of attention lately, and honestly, we love to see it.
but to everyone throwing around "they copied this" / "they just fed designs to claude" and all that, respectfully, do your research before accusing.
