These people profess to uphold the law (qaanoon) but are hypocritical in their application of it. Their "qaanoon" is nothing more than bribery and manipulation; they sell it to the highest bidder. Yet, when it comes to the poor, these hypocrites somehow find the piety to respect this man-made law.

The "Shar'i courts" they demand that citizens obey—courts they themselves treat as a joke—are rife with conjecture, deliberately designed for their manipulation. When they wanted a sodomite released, they charged him with moral misconduct (badhu akhlaqi) and sentenced him to six months of house arrest.

When they wanted to prosecute the apostate Rusthom for openly declaring his disbelief in court and insulting Allah and Islam, they charged him with obstruction of justice—five months.

Many former Majlis members, still receiving taxpayer salaries, were involved in the embezzlement of public funds—the MMPRC scandal involving four billion rufiyaa. Yet, your laws focused on a man who stole a rihaakuru fulhi, sentencing him to four years.

Now, this individual, who built a career selling rulings to the highest bidder, has been hired by the state, wishes to offer his "expertise" on how to subvert the law to their benefit.

To hell with your laws.

This family have been living in Maldives peacefully for past 12 Years and counting. They want Maldives government to provide them way to stay legally in Maldives.
Maldives have "regularization policy" for undocumented labors in Maldives.
But this family which have been living in Maldives society for past 12 years peacefully without causing any short of trouble is going to be sent back, instead of supporting them to stay in Maldives legally.
I urge @doamuslims and Muslims around the world to raise their voice regarding this case.
