you’re already a lame guy for not paying for a service. but what makes you an asshole is when you’re doing it to your guy. someone that loves and promotes your shit. and not only that, brushing it off and treating the guy like some dead guy you don’t care about
CBN is moving a bit too futuristic 🙂🙂🙂 moving in a very proactive direction, something quite unusual but a breath of fresh air.
I am waiting to see how this would impact Ecobank Nigeria btw, because that bank has been hemorrhaging for a long time and it’s the Ecobank group that is covering up for them.
Also while this is on going, they are looking into data sovereignty, and localization of some aspect of our banking. Again that is futuristic and in near terms appears overly ambitious and totally unnecessary.
One can argue that we do not have the facilities for such moves, but the banks do have the money, it could only impact dividends paid next year.
But when we look at what happened with US and Iran and how the war plunged the globe into fuel panic, Nigeria was not affected in terms of supply, simply because we have somehow become sovereign in terms of our petroleum products supply via Dangote refinery.
Theoretically, and from a proactive standpoint, the new regulations are really good (again theoretically), time will tell how the banks and fintechs would be able to navigate and comply.
6 months timeframe, all still ahead of their great 2028 moves, CBN no give anyone breathing space, e choke.
🚨🔴⚪️ Arsenal make initial approach for Christos Tzolis as potential new winger with contacts started on player/club side.
He’s among options considered but not only one, Jeremy Monga remains separate deal for future and advancing.
Rogers/Barcola & more remain top targets.
