Absolutely blown away to see my first male Hen Harrier on Portland. After three days, it finally flew a little closer this morning, before possibly leaving early afternoon.
Safe travels🤞
Rarity finders: Red-footed Booby in Dorset
Vince Jenkins recounts his extraordinary encounter while out diving and we take a look at the British status of this tropical seabird: https://t.co/G6ye78BzA4
For anyone who missed the news an immature Red-footed Booby was photographed sat on a boat in Worbarrow Bay on Monday evening where it remained for 50mins. A 1st record for Dorset & only the 3rd for the UK. It could still be around- look out for a smaller, brown gannet like bird.
What a day! Tens of thousands, maybe even 100,000 of us demanding that nature is restored 🙌.
We hear regularly that we're a nation of nature lovers... today I fully believe that!
All eyes on you next government...

Help needed!!
I'm working on my Hover Fly list , currently a lowly 79 species(although it was 71 ten days ago), realise I need some of the rarer species that can be found in the New Forest . Can anyone suggest any sites that I can try?
