For 18 years successive West Berkshire Conservative administrations kept spending and reserves at sensible levels, at times navigating very difficult financial circumstances, while funding services for our residents.

The #familyfarmtax will cause carnage to UK farming and food production. The Government must listen to farmers and the NFU.

I know they won't want to be seen to U-turn, but there is an offramp for them if they're willing to take it.

A reminder that @WBerksLibDems own internal correspondence says that withdrawing the plan had no advantages except "showing voters we're serious", and admits that expert officers didn't think the plan was flawed in any way.

Withdrawing the plan would have been reckless. Read the report if you don’t believe us.

Luckily HM Government stepped in and stopped you. That gave you someone to blame (what you wanted anyway).
