@Yankees Broadcasters certain this was a foul ball, but the ball doesn’t have to be touching the foal line. If any part of the ball is over the line it is fair. Appears to have a small part of the ball over the foul line…. Fair ball. Umpires got it right again!
@Bville_Bees What are you willing to do to solve the problem? Were there school escorts for the officials after the game? Are you willing to ban this person? Are you willing to ban all fans for a game? The problem is evident, now we need to address it.
@Bville_Bees This has been an ongoing problem for years. There have been many conversations about the abuse of officials at local and national levels. The shortage of officials is an ongoing and an increasingly serious problem. The question is what are the organizing bodies willing to do.
@dcone36 Taillon did not have to step back off the pitcher’s rubber to throw to second to get the runner from first stealing. Rule 8.05d permits a pitcher to throw to an unoccupied base for the purpose of making a (legit) play.
