Paul Skenes is an awesome human in case anyone was wondering.

He was driving by the Ingomar Franklin Park Little League baseball fields last night and saw the lights on and just pulled on in.

He was there over 2 hours signing, taking pictures and playing catch with the kids.

Spartans knock off #1 seed Pine Richland, 3-2 and win their 11th straight to earn a spot in the WPIAL semi’s. Weber throws a gem and gets the W. 6.1 IP, 3 hits, 10k’s. Foley gets the save closing the game with 2 K’s. Ivanoff & Weber w/ a hit each. Ivanoff w/ a clutch 2 out RBI

Spartans win their 9th straight & close out the regular season with a 9-1 win, vs. Blackhawk. Weber gets the W/. 4 IP, 8 K’s.
Offense led by Stern & Armbruster w/ 3 hits each. Weber w/ 2 hits & 3 RBI’s. Spartans end the regular season with a 15-5 record.

Spartans pick up a big section road win vs. Baldwin, 11-10. Offense led by Stern, who hits a grand slam and drives in 5, Puffer also homers and drives in 2 and Weber goes 3-3. Martinec goes 2-3 and drives in the winning run in the 7th. Ivanoff picks up the save.

Common theme of all the best HS hitters I’m seeing is they attack the first pitch almost every AB & get their best swing off on that 0-0 count. If they swing thru it… they dont care. If your coach is telling you to be patient & take the 1st pitch most AB’s… u need a new coach!
