Earlier this week, Station 19 A-Shift cleaned & greased the 105‑foot ladder on Ladder 195. This job might not look exciting, but it’s very important. Keeping the ladder & truck in top shape helps make sure they’re always ready when someone needs help.

Our firefighters recently visited every 3rd grade class in West Des Moines with the Fire Safety House. More than 800 students learned very important fire safety tips. A special shout-out to @blankchildrens Hospital for allowing us to use the Fire Safety House.

Last Friday, we officially broke ground on Fire Station 13, which will serve both Fire & EMS. Thank you to the community who joined to celebrate this special event. We are excited for it to open in 2027, providing essential services to the community for many years to come.
