The U.S.S. Riverside is coming out of the water for a scheduled inspection, fresh coat of paint, rebuilt twin diesel engines, and several other updates. The plan is to be back in the water by April.

#BREAKING We are currently investigating an incident where an unruly crowd formed outside a resort property in the 3600 block South Las Vegas Boulevard.

A large crowd formed due to a performance that eventually began to disturb the flow of traffic. Officers contacted the crowd and attempted to take multiple individuals into custody. At some point, an officer was struck by an item thrown by an individual. Eleven people have been arrested at this time.

Due to the nature of the incident, multiple area commands responded to assist, and the matter has come to a peaceful resolution. Vehicle and pedestrian traffic have returned to normal. However, a large police presence still remains. No officers were injured during this incident.

OTD 1994 Boulder Station Hotel Casino opened in Sunrise Manor, E of #LasVegas. The "locals" resort opened with 300 rooms and 75K sq ft casino. It also featured a 270 seat Railhead Saloon. Their neon sign, at the time, featured the world's largest color screen.
