The ultimate recession-proof business:
Smart Coolers & Micromarkets.

I own 50 of these & make $25k/month profit.
Here's exactly how you can start your own:
If you’re a starting entrepreneur, your first business should cash flow.
Then you can go big.
A particular type of small business is perfect for this:
“Nice Life Businesses.”
Here are my favorite 7 examples of them:
7 BUSINESS IDEAS THAT NEVER FAIL:
1. Solve rich people problems.
2. Sell before you build.
3. Price based on value, not cost.
4. Obsess over customer retention.
5. Automate the boring parts.
6. Fire bad clients fast.
7. Reinvest profits into growth.
“I do the right behaviors instinctively with lower tier prospects, but struggle doing it with the companies who are at the top of my list”
>>your problem is they are at the top of your list. get rid of your list and execute your process the same exact way regardless of who the prospect / company is.
only difference between lower tier and higher tier is managing your nerves

This is Naval Ravikant.
One of the clearest thinkers alive on wealth and freedom.
Here are 15 of his ideas that will change how you think about money:
If I had to start an agency again from nothing:
- No brand
- No money
- No connections
- Etc
This is exactly what I'd do to get to $10k/month...
(and beyond)
1. Pick a boring local niche
I have dozens of agency owner clients across every niche you can think of, and the ones in simple local niches have by far the easiest time getting to $10k.
Not to say that E-com, SaaS and B2B are bad.
They're just harder.
Those founders are online businesses, so they have to be good at internet marketing themselves, and they've got hundreds of agencies to choose from.
Go and count how many e-com agencies exist, then count how many dedicated pest control or driveway paving agencies exist.
Local niches are a far bluer ocean because the competition is spread across hundreds of small markets rather than concentrated in one.
What to check before committing:
- Can you contact them easily, on Instagram, Facebook or a lead list
- Do they have a clear pain point
- Is the market growing, or at least not dying
- Do they have money
Everyone still needs their driveway paved, their roof fixed and their plumbing sorted.
Those niches have been here for decades and AI isn't touching them.
Meanwhile everyone else is distracted building AI startups.
2. Sell ads, not AI
A lot of new agency owners are selling AI receptionists and dispatchers right now.
I use AI heavily in both my businesses.
I just don't sell it as the main service.
Business owners want to give you $1 and get $3 back.
That's how I buy as a business owner, and it's how they buy.
An AI receptionist doesn't obviously do that.
Getting their phone ringing does.
Local business owners already know they need ads.
Their limitation is technical know how and time, not belief.
They don't know about Andromeda, creative variety, funnels, follow up sequences or show rates.
You coming in and building that properly takes them somewhere they can't get alone.
And local is genuinely easier to get results in.
- E-com means convincing a stranger why this hair dryer beats 100 others
- Info means selling something built from thin air
- Local means someone's toilet is broken and they need it fixed today
3. Get clients with content first, then ads
Cold email and cold calling worked brilliantly in 2018 to 2020. Thousands of people flooded in and annihilated those channels.
The clients you get that way often churn in a month and don't respect you anyway.
Post niche specific content instead, on whichever platform your niche actually hangs out on.
Then do the part almost everyone skips.
Scan your feed and message every single person who engages.
Voice notes, Looms, whatever it takes.
Posting and waiting doesn't work.
Posting and reaching out does.
This is also how you skip the free work stage entirely. Someone who respects your content will pay from the start.
I charged $1,000 a month out the gate and never did free work, and I got clients within my first month of posting.
4. Then turn on ads, even at $20 a day
Ads are the only acquisition channel independent of your time.
Managing your own account takes 5 to 10 minutes a day, and it scales linearly.
You can force eyeballs onto your offer rather than hoping the algorithm gives them to you.
The misconception is that this needs thousands a day. It doesn't.
Run a simple lead form strategy at $15 to $20 a day and you can generate 2 to 4 leads a day with no landing page at all.
Here's the snowball, using numbers I see clients hit:
- Leads at $10 each
- 1 in 5 books, so $50 per call
- Half show up, so $100 per live call
- Close 1 in 5, so a $500 cost per client
Now the other side of it.
Charge at least $1,500 a month.
Almost every local business can afford that, and far too many of you are charging $500 or $800.
Lock them in for 3 months, then offer a pay in full option.
$1,000 a month for 3 months becomes $2,500 paid upfront.
So you spend $500 and collect $2,500.
Put $500 of that profit straight back into ads and you're now getting 2 clients a month.
Then 3, then 4.
Your cost per acquisition climbs as you scale into colder audiences, which is normal.
You raise prices as your results improve and the return still holds.
5. Sales depends on one question
Are they already running ads or not.
If they are, move to a 2 call close.
Have the first conversation, get access to their ad account, and audit it properly before the second call within 2 days.
Look at their creative, their pixel, their follow up.
Then show them exactly what they're missing.
People love seeing what they're leaving on the table, and that makes the close easy.
If they're not running ads, you can close on the first call.
You're selling them on the opportunity they're currently ignoring while relying on referrals.
And if you have no testimonials yet?
Use a light guarantee you're confident hitting. Something like 30 leads in 90 days.
Sales is confidence against perceived risk.
If confidence is high and risk is near zero, you get the sale.
And never leave a call without either cash collected or a follow up booked.
6. Fulfilment is where this gets beautiful
Running local ads is genuinely simple now.
- You often don't need video ads, just statics, which AI produces in seconds
- Landing pages can be simple builds, or you can skip them entirely and run straight to lead forms
- The only real requirement is that leads get dialled within 5 minutes
That's it.
Because everything is repeatable, you can run a GHL snapshot you replicate every single time rather than building custom work for every client.
Your margins land somewhere around 80 to 90%, and you can genuinely run this on your own.
The honest limitation
Will this take you to $10 million a year?
Probably not.
Will it get you to $10k a month faster than anything else available to you?
Absolutely.
I did organic and cold email all the way to $50k a month and it took me years.
The moment I switched on a system like this, I went to $150k a month.
I started it far too late.
I made my first million by doing something that sounds completely backwards - I stopped trying to make money.
11 practises that changed my life and can change yours:
These get crazier the further you go down the list.
---------
1. The Foundation (Even If It's Ugly)
I'm not gonna sugarcoat this - it started with a completely unhealthy, unmeasurable obsession with winning. Not just wanting it - being possessed by it. The kind of hunger where nothing, and I mean NOTHING, could make me quit.
Not failure, not rejection, not setbacks, not people telling me I was crazy. There wasn't a single thing that could happen to me that would make me wake up and throw in the towel. Pure brute force energy that refused to stop.
Underneath all that was something deeper though - I wanted to be valuable, to produce, to protect my family as they got older, to have freedom. The money was just the mechanism. The fuel was an unshakeable, delusional conviction that I was going to win no matter what, where or when.
It was purely WHEN based programming, not IF based programming on my vision of "winning"
---------
2. The Breakthrough: Killing the "No's"
We all have deeply rooted beliefs programmed into our subconscious - limiting "no's" and empowering "yes's."
Neuroscience calls this your reticular activating system - it's literally a filter that decides what's possible for you and what gets dismissed as irrelevant.
If you have enough subconscious "no's" surrounding the idea of making $5M in profit, your brain won't even register the opportunities right in front of you.
It'll feel impossible because your RAS is filtering out anything that contradicts your existing beliefs.
But here's what research on neuroplasticity shows: you can rewire this. When you consistently visualize something as already true, when you expose yourself to evidence of it being possible, when you act as if it's inevitable - you're literally creating new neural pathways.
You're flipping those "no's" to "yes's." The shift happens when enough of those beliefs change. Suddenly your brain stops filtering out the path forward. It stops seeing obstacles as dead ends and starts seeing them as puzzles to solve. The goal goes from "impossible" to "inevitable" - and that's when something fundamental shifts in how you operate.
---------
3. The Paradox: Stop Needing It
This sounds backwards but it's the most important part: the moment you NEED something, you repel it.
Think about it - when you already have something, you don't walk around desperate for it, right?
You don't stress about your next breath because breathing is guaranteed.
That's the state you need to get to with money.
Everything operates on frequency. Desperation, need, and anxiety vibrate at low frequencies - fear, scarcity, lack. Abundance, wealth, and success vibrate at high frequencies - peace, certainty, detachment.
Completely okay whether it comes or not. Not pretending - genuinely detached. No anxiety, no desperation, no "I NEED this or I'm screwed."
Because desperation makes you move wrong. It makes you take bad deals, make emotional decisions, and radiate an energy that pushes success away.
When you're detached?
When you're truly good either way?
Thats living in blissfulness.
Higher frequencies.
That's when you think clearly, move confidently, and ironically - that's when it shows up.
The gap between you and what you want closes the moment you collapse it by DETACHING.
---------
4. The Path Illuminates As You Walk It
Stop trying to figure out the entire roadmap. You don't need to know when it'll happen, how it'll happen, or what exact steps will get you there.
Here's why: The path Illuminates as you walk it.
I REPEAT!!! The path Illuminates as you walk it.
You can't see the opportunities coming until you're in motion. You can't predict who you'll meet next week that changes everything.
You can't plan for the random piece of information that becomes the missing puzzle piece.
Me personally and where I am today.. I couldn't have mapped it out 5 years ago. It was a series of unexpected encounters, random people I met that changed my next move, ideas I stumbled into, decisions that only made sense in hindsight.
Your job isn't to have a perfect plan.
Your job is to:
- Have unshakeable conviction it's coming
- Let go of controlling exactly how
- Start walking
The rest unfolds on its own.
The right people show up.
The right information finds you.
The doors open - but only after you start moving.
---------
5. Ask to Be Blessed
I started praying not just for guidance, but specifically asking God to bless me with wisdom, health & wealth.
Most people never directly ask God to bless them financially. They hint around it, feel guilty about it, or assume it's wrong to want it.
I asked.
Directly.
Daily.
Not from greed, but so I could be a vessel to bless others. So I knocked. And I kept knocking and today, I continue knocking, thanking, praying and asking.
---------
6. The Amazon Order Method
When you order something on Amazon, you click "buy" and then what? You go about your day.
You don't stress about whether it's actually coming.
You just... know it's on the way.
That's the exact energy you need with your goals.
I started treating my desires like Amazon orders:
- Be hyper-specific about what I want.
- Place the order mentally.
- Visualize it, declare it, ask for it
- Trust it's coming
- Forget about it and move on with my day
Just complete certainty that what I ordered is on its way, so I can focus on preparing for when it arrives.
The moment you place an Amazon order, you don't wonder IF it's coming - you wonder WHEN.
That's the shift. From "will this happen?" to "this is already done, just waiting for delivery."
Order placed. Now walk.
---------
7. Delusional Confidence (Not Arrogance)
I've been called delusional, arrogant, narcissist.
What they're really seeing is someone who has completely rewired their internal programming - someone who has flipped every single limiting "no" into an empowering "yes."
This isn't about putting people down or thinking you're better than anyone. This is about being so deeply convicted in what's coming that external circumstances can't touch you.
Most people's beliefs get shaken constantly.
That's because their conviction isn't rooted deep enough. Their subconscious still has too many "no's" telling them it might not work out.
You need to be so grounded - so irrationally confident - that nothing can shake you. Not failure. Not criticism. Not delays. Not people telling you it's impossible.
This is where that rewired brain comes in. When your RAS is filtering FOR success instead of against it, when your subconscious beliefs are all aligned with winning - you move differently. You think differently. You ARE different.
People will call it delusion.
Good. Stay delusional. Because that "delusion" is just unshakeable conviction that hasn't been proven right yet.
And it will be.
---------
8. Focus on What You'll DO With It, Not How to GET It
This is the cheat code most people miss entirely.
Stop obsessing over HOW you're going to make the money. Start living like you already have it.
I spent more time planning what I'd do with $5M than figuring out how to earn it:
Mapped out exact allocations (corporate structures, investments, family trusts, cash flow automations)
- Called wealth managers and set up accounts
- Researched properties I'd buy
- Planned out how I'd take care of my parents
- Decided which causes I'd support
I wasn't daydreaming. I was ACTING. Making real moves as if the money was already in my account and I just needed to deploy it.
Here's why this works: Your brain can't tell the difference between vividly imagined experience and real experience.
When you're genuinely planning allocations, talking to advisors, setting up infrastructure - your subconscious accepts it as reality.
Remember those "yes's" and "no's"?
You're programming more "yes's." You're telling your RAS: "This is real. This is happening. Illuminate the path."
Meanwhile, everyone else is stuck in "how do I get it?" mode - which keeps them focused on the LACK of it.
You're focused on HAVING it. Big difference.
T
he universe - God - reality - whatever you want to call it - has no choice but to catch up to the identity you're living as. Act like you have it. The money follows the identity.
---------
9. Be Hyperspecific
Most people are terrified to get specific.
They say vague things like "I want to be rich" or "I want a nice house" or "I want financial freedom."
Because deep down, they don't actually believe it's possible. Being vague protects their ego.
If you never specify exactly what you want, you can leave room to "want and get" more so you hold back OR you're not specific because then "failure" won't actually exist.
Vagueness is a defense mechanism.
It's your subconscious hedging its bets because those limiting "no's" are still there whispering "you can't actually have that."
Here's what you need to do instead: Get so specific it makes you uncomfortable.
Not just "a nice house" - what EXACT house?
What street?
What city?
How many bedrooms?
What does the kitchen look like?
What color are the walls?
What does it smell like when you walk in?
What does the backyard look like?
What cars are in the driveway?
Not just "I want to be wealthy" - what exact number?
In what accounts?
Which banks?
What investments?
What allocation percentages?
What credit cards are in your wallet?
What watch are you wearing?
The specificity forces your brain to accept it as REAL.
Vague goals stay in fantasy land. Specific goals become targets your RAS can actually lock onto and pursue.
"But what if I want something bigger later?"
Then you'll get that too. But you can't skip steps.
Get hyperspecific about the first milestone.
Achieve it. Then get specific about the next one.
Specificity = Clarity = Belief = Reality
Make it so detailed it almost hurts to imagine. That's when you know it's real enough for your subconscious to chase.
---------
10. The Physical World is Just a Reaction
Here's something most people never grasp:
Everything you see in the physical world - every car, building, phone, business - started as a thought in someone's mind first.
Newton's Third Law: For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction.
The physical realm we live in IS the reaction.
The action happens in the mind.
Your current reality is just the materialization of past thoughts, beliefs, and actions. You can't change a reaction with another reaction - you can't fix your bank account by just staring at it or complaining about it.
You need to go back to the SOURCE: your thoughts.
Neuroscience backs this up. Your thoughts create neural pathways. Those pathways influence your beliefs. Your beliefs drive your actions. Your actions create your results. It's a chain reaction that starts in your mind.
As above, so below. As within, so without." - Hermetic principle
The external world is a mirror of your internal world.
What you see "out there" is a reflection of what's "in here." You're not trying to change the reflection in the mirror by touching the glass - you change what's standing in front of it.
Everything is energy first, matter second.
Thoughts are energy. When you hold a thought with enough conviction, clarity, and emotion, it HAS to manifest into physical form.
That's universal law.
The mental plane creates the physical plane.
Always has, always will.
If you want different results, stop trying to manipulate the 3D world. Go back to the source - your mind - and shift it there first.
The physical reality has no choice but to follow.
---------
11. The Identity Shift
Losing weight, getting rich, building a business - it's all the same mechanism. You have to BECOME that person in your mind first. The identity always comes before the result.
Dr. Maltz shows that self-image (how you see yourself) determines your performance and results.
Read the book Psycho-Cybernetics - he shows that people operate like guided missiles - you hit the target that matches your internal self-image, not your wishes.
If you see yourself as "someone trying to lose weight," you'll always be trying. If you see yourself as "an athlete," your brain automatically makes decisions that athletes make. The identity drives the behavior unconsciously.
Your RAS filters reality based on your identity. If you identify as broke, you won't even see opportunities for wealth - they're filtered out as "not for me."
"Assume the feeling of your wish fulfilled." Live in the end. Be the person who already has it NOW, and the 3D reality reshapes itself to match.
"All is mind, the universe is mental."
Your current identity creates your current reality.
Change the identity, and reality must follow.
Read the Kabbalah as well.
You don't "work toward" being fit - you ARE fit, and your body is just catching up.
You don't "try to get rich" - you ARE wealthy, and time is aligning the physical proof.
This isn't pretending.
This is reprogramming your operating system at the identity level.
When you become it mentally first - when you're delusional enough to live as that person NOW - time has no choice but to catch up.
---------
That's it, my Christmas gift to you.
Your calls are too short. That's why you're broke
Efficiency doesn't close deals
But you don't care about efficiency anyway
You just want a packed calendar because you don't trust yourself to close, so you look for lay-ups
So you can pretend to be productive without having to face the facts that you can't sell properly
This is what the whole 'high ticket closer' industry is based on
A 10-hour workday with 20 sales calls...
No thanks
Because the fact is that if you took longer with your prospects you'd close a lot more deals
Trust can't be built in 18 minutes
Your own authority can't be built in a 30 second intro
You can't understand their decision making process whilst sprinting through a high pressure script
You think speed shows confidence
It doesn't - it shows fear
Pros know to slow down the clock
They play with silence
They take the time to build real value and genuine excitement
They make the prospect prove that they want to buy
A fly-through sales process changes the energy of a sales call
Prospects can feel it
They feel like they're on a conveyor belt
This breaks trust and stops them from opening up
Take your time and it all gets a lot easier
You don't need more leads
You need to stop ending calls that haven't started yet
Your only focus should be on booking a fuck ton of calls and closing them
Everyone’s obsessed with brand, content, and systems
Because it’s emotionally safer than doing the one thing that actually moves the needle :
Volume of qualified conversations
You want $100K/month ?
You charge $10K per client ?
Then you need 10 clients
That’s basic math
If your close rate is 15%, you need ~67 calls
If your show rate is 70%, you need ~96 bookings
If your booking rate is 2%, you need 4,800 outbound DMs per month, about 160 per day
(I’m talking about LinkedIn DMs here because that’s my thing, but if you’re running cold email, you’ll need to hit way more volume)
The problem is everyone wants to intellectualize what’s purely math
They’ll say :
“I’m reworking my offer”
“I’m optimizing my funnel”
“I’m learning persuasion frameworks”
Nah mf, you’re just a pussy avoiding volume
Because refining feels productive but doesn’t expose you to rejection
Volume does
Volume hurts your ego
Volume forces you to stop bitching on sales calls
Sales is the operating system of business
Nothing else matters until your calendar is full
You don’t need a new deck
You don’t need a new website
You don’t need new branding
You need to push your message in front of the right people every single day
If you have calls booked, everything else becomes easy :
- You get live feedback on your pitch
- You refine your ICP in real time
- You collect language directly from prospects
- You start closing out of sheer exposure
Every call you take compresses 10 hours of “offer research” into 30 minutes of market truth
Volume creates clarity
Clarity creates conviction
Conviction closes
People don’t buy from you because you “seem strategic”
They buy because you sound like someone who’s already done this 50 times this month
Confidence is a byproduct of repetition
And repetition only happens when you’re in constant motion :
Outreach → booking → call → close → debrief → repeat
When you move at that tempo, you start predicting outcomes because you’ve already seen every objection, every persona, every variation
That’s when you finally have leverage
So if your goal is to actually make money
Then every second you’re not sending messages, booking calls, or closing deals is a tax on your own stupidity
Stop thinking that you’re underperforming because of your funnel, your market, or your copy
You’re losing because you’re not generating enough collisions between your offer and decision-makers to make success mathematically inevitable
Pressure introduces you to the parts you avoid.
Cash flow exposes fear.
Clients expose ego.
Silence exposes doubt.
A business shows the man beneath the mask.
People don't care about your offer.
People don't care about your guarantee.
To an extent, people don't even care about the screenshots/case studies you can present.
In the end, they only want to know if they deeply understand their problem.
If you can honestly give them that feeling, they will close 97% of the time.
Women buy faster than men.
And it's NOT even close.
Men treat every purchase like a chess match.
They want 3 competing quotes, 47 feature comparisons, ROI calculators, case studies from their exact industry.
Even when they already know they're buying.
It's ego protection, they need to prove to themselves (and everyone else) they made the "smart" decision.
Women cut through the BS immediately.
"Does this solve my problem? What's the price? When can we start?"
They're not trying to look smart.
They're trying to fix the actual issue and move on.
Men optimize for looking right.
Women optimize for being right.
The quickest way to get instant access in life is to just pay
I've learned so much in life from just being in the room with the right people
If you always try and figure everything out by yourself you will waste so much precious time
just talk to those who have already done what you wanna do
CHEAT CODE
The one skill that changed my income: Learning to be comfortable with silence. In negotiations. In sales calls. In conversations. Most people panic and fill the void. They negotiate against themselves. They talk past the sale. They reveal their weakness. The person who can sit in silence longest usually wins. Shut up and let the other person tell you how to beat them.
In 2015, Apple tried to destroy Spotify.
Apple demanded 30% of all revenue. BLOCKED app updates. Threatened to remove them from the App Store.
Until they made ONE bold mistake that transformed Spotify into a $120 BILLION empire.
