I thought a bit of time would help me find the words but there is genuinely no way I can describe what this day meant to us all.
I am so grateful to be part of this incredible club, to be able to work with amazing people & to have been a part of this historic season 🖤🤍 #COYP
Season 25/26 done and dusted. It’s been an absolute privilege to work with a truly exceptional goalkeeping unit as well as an amazing group of staff. So proud of what we achieved and even more excited for what’s to come!
Hear from #MKDons' Head of Goalkeeping, Tom Weal, on his journey to Milton Keynes Dons, his love for community coaching, and the role of each individual goalkeeper in the group 🧤

To any young kid reading this…
I’ve doubted myself in every league I’ve ever played in.
Ryman Prem.
Conference South.
League Two.
League One.
Championship…
And even right before my first Premier League start last night.
That’s not weakness.
That’s being human.
That’s being alive.
When I was growing up, I thought Premier League players were superhuman.
Like they never felt doubt.
Like they never felt nerves.
The truth is…. it’s often the opposite.
Social media won’t tell you that sometimes you step out there with no confidence. That’s normal. That’s ok!
You now have to then step out there with courage.
Confidence feels good.
Courage doesn’t.
But you do it anyway. Show courage enough times…. You build confidence.
Here’s the mindset that’s carried me for 31 years.
When it goes well:
I worked for it.
I earned it.
Well done.
Watch it back.
Get better.
When it doesn’t:
I know I prepared the best I could.
It didn’t go exactly to plan. That’s football.
But Well done.
Watch it back.
Get better.
That simple recipe gave me a special moment last night.
Leading the team out.
Playing alongside a group that fights for every ball.
Celebrates tackles.
Gives everything for the city of Sunderland.
And sharing it with supporters who never gave up, even after four tough seasons in League One.
So if you’re a young player feeling doubt…
Low confidence…
Or like you don’t believe in yourself…
You’re not alone.
Every player feels it.
Confidence isn’t something you’re given.
It’s something you build.
Bit by bit.
Day by day.
With courage.
With work.
With learning.
Anything worth building takes time.
But that’s what makes it so worthwhile!
Thank you @SunderlandAFC ❤️🤍

So good to see and reminisce with the incredible @JohnJBostock earlier today. Will always have so much love for this guy and the amazing memories we shared 🖤🤍
What an incredible servant to the club and an equally incredible human being. Few will know the levels of dedication, selflessness and commitment he’s shown during his time at Notts but his contribution to the club during the last 6 years cannot be understated 🖤🧤🤍
• 150+ apps in Notts colours.
• 2,119 days a Notts player.
• Signed on 1 August 2019, 6 days after the Reedtz brothers completed the takeover.
• Completed his ultimate objective of getting the club back to the EFL.
Loyal legend, go well Slocs.🖤

Absolutely loving life up at @officialcufc working with incredible staff and a quality group of goalkeepers.
Here’s a bit of what we’ve been up to this week! GK’s on 🔥🔥🔥
🎙️ This morning, we mic'd up our goalkeeping coach, Tom Weal.
Gabe Breeze, Harry Lewis and Thomas Randall were involved, and we caught all the action.

New beginnings!! After 23 seasons playing professional football, I have decided to hang up the gloves. I’m deeply grateful to all the coaches, teammates, and fans who have supported me throughout the years 1/2
@KRennicks40 Continue to lay and cement solid foundations across the club allowing it to keep growing and progressing up the leagues. Honestly, the future could not be brighter with these two at the helm!
