AGAPE (Ἀγάπη) is another word for love in the Greek bible.

In Luke 6:27, Jesus is asking people to have a deep care and compassion, not thinking about oneself at all, when loving one’s enemy. It means “selfless love that is passionately committed to the well-being of others.”

CHESED (חֶסֶד) is the word for mercy, compassion, loyal love in the Hebrew bible.

In this Gen 39:21, God showed Joseph great mercy through his prisoner's favor towards him. CHESED is a kind of zeal aimed at the true good of another person even if it means being burdened.

Jan 22 is the feast day of Laura Vicuña

At 12, it brought her distress that mother was far from God & vowed "I offer you my life for that of mother" so she restores faith.

Her last words as she died were "Shall I not have the joy of seeing you repent?" Moved, her mother repents

The guiding verse 2 Corinthians 6:16 "For we are the temple of the living God; and God said ‘I will make my dwelling among them & walk among them"

Known as Don Bosco, St John is patron saint of magicians & schoolchildren.

As a boy, he was in awe of magicians & decided to learn their tricks to capture people's attentions.

Magic tricks came in handy with children as he educated them & preached to them about the Gospel.
