UPS, I need an explanation.

I shipped a package containing approximately $7,000 worth of merchandise. Tracking suddenly updated to: “The package has been damaged and all merchandise has been discarded.”

No photos. No documentation. No explanation. @UPS

I’ve shipped thousands of packages through UPS since 2017 and have never experienced anything like this.

How does a package get discarded without the shipper being contacted or provided any documentation of the damage?

I’d appreciate a response and some accountability.
