I was honored to meet the dedicated, hard-working people at @NIST serving at the forefront of U.S. innovation & industrial competitiveness.
From the office to the lab, NIST delivers for our communities & country, like these folks developing better masks for all of us.

James Hoffmann's newest series on Moka Pots is excellent. A seriously nerdy investigation into how Moka Pots work and how to get the best brew out of them. https://t.co/d6sX9wfBIM
1st practice sketch after a several months break to celebrate our new heat pump. We waited 5 months from the date of order to get it installed and we were relaying on a 40+ yrs old oil furnace for heat. The new pump worked great in the snow storm last night! #firstcoffeeoftheday
Old Town Prague is empty! This picture was captured near the famous astronomical clock tower at 10 am. This is our 5th trip here and we have never seen this area so devoid of tourists. Usually, even in winter, we would be shoulder to shoulder with people trying to see the sites.
2nd coffee of the day - 1st was quickly drunk while booking RT-PCRs for our flight to the U.S. tomorrow. Waiting for the tests/results isn't fun, but at least we get to do it in beautiful Prague. #firstcoffeeoftheday
@teodormircea Great idea! I have mixing the chocolate with my 2nd coffee of the day to make a mocha like drink. Very good and I think I will be bring some of it home with me as a souvenir.
Espresso with the Czech treat Pikao - sweetened condensed milk mixed with cocoa powder. This stuff is sweet! I saw a kid eat this stuff straight from the tube yesterday in Plzen and immediately wanted to try it. #firstcoffeeoftheday
@wanfaws It's a charming and (we think) underrated place to visit in the Czech Republic. This is our 1st trip to this city and it has been a very enjoyable stay so far! Very few tourists, people are exceptionally nice, and the city is very walkable.
