I have awful news...
An illegal immigrant in North Carolina has sadly smashed into the car a mother and her two young children.
One of the children, Calli Toler, did not survive and has gone to be with the Lord.
She was just 6 years old.
Troopers said 33-year-old Jaime Santiago Corona, an illegal immigrant, was traveling south with a revoked license in a Dodge Ram pickup when he failed to stop at a stop sign.
He T-boned Kelli Toler's SUV at an extremely high rate of speed.
Kelli and her 4-year-old son are fighting for their lives at the hospital, but little Calli was pronounced de*d at the scene.
Please, please pray for this family.
Aaron Siri opened his Kennedy Center address with a fact that stops most people cold: vaccines are the only product in America where you cannot sue the manufacturer for making a safer version that could have prevented your child's death or injury.
That protection came from the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986. Before that law, only three routine vaccines existed: MMR, DTP, and OPV. The injuries caused by those three products were so severe that every company making them either went out of business or stopped production. Every other industry facing that outcome is forced to make a safer product.
Congress chose a different path for vaccines. It eliminated liability entirely, not just for those three vaccines, but for every routine childhood vaccine developed from that point forward.
"No person may bring a civil action against a vaccine administrator or manufacturer for damages arising from a vaccine related injury or death."
That is the foundation everything else is built on.

He does not get to go back to normal interviews with good guys like Mike like his joining the abuse and slander of a widow who had to lose her husband in the most horrific way imaginable was nothing.
He does not get to heap more pain and suffering on someone who has already dealt with unimaginable pain and suffering and walk away like it was nothing

Thanks for this critical reminder. No church body is perfect, but a solid church with a strong shepherd and elders in leadership is a place to grow in the knowledge of Christ. This includes accountability for wrong beliefs and actions. We will not mature as believers in a vacuum. I am praying that all people claiming to know Jesus will heed this biblical guidance.

Happy 250th Birthday to a nation like no other.
America is exceptional because it is the exception β a place where a particular set of ideas, a particular set of values, and a particular set of customs, formulated by a particular set of men in a particular place at a particular time created a covenant nation.
That the covenant has extended to men with different beliefs and histories β first to Catholics and to Jews, Irish and German and Italian, freed slaves and others, so long as they would embrace the ideas and values and customs and swear fealty to the same in the form of our Constitution β has not been a weakness but a strength, as has been borne out by the incredible rise of the new nation to heights previously unknown in human history.
The American Experiment, the βexperiment entrusted to the hands of the American people,β as George Washington called it, is always just that. Itβs never fully proven. It is a promise made by the republic to us and by us to the republic and to each other.
It is a republic, if we can keep it. A republic conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.
The promise is ours to keep or to discard at our great peril.
The promise has been abused, both by the state and by ourselves and our neighbors.
It has been strained and tested.
It is being strained and tested now.
The ideas and values and customs are often attacked or co-opted by novel philosophies, or overwhelmed by uncontrolled and unassimilated migration, or hollowed out by our lack of faithfulness to them and to the Creator who is their author.
The covenant isnβt fragile. It has endured in the face of many faithless acts over two and a half centuries.
But nor is it, like the New Covenant of our Salvation, secured by the blood of Christ.
No. It is secured only by our own blood β and some incalculable measure of Godβs grace.
It is ours only so long as we fight for it βagainst all enemies foreign and domestic β even the chief domestic enemy, our own faithlessness and fear and anger and despair.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes. The American experiment should not be abandoned simply because it is showing wear. So beautiful, if a bit bruised, a reed we should not break.
To do so would be to forsake the blood of our fathers, and to flaunt the greatest blessing of God to man in almost half a millennium.
Today, let us renew the covenant. Let us carry on the great experiment, and let us embrace the exception so that it may remain exceptional.
Let us live out the great creed handed to us by those particular men and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity.
