I agree with the conclusion, but I think this is an unfair analogy. The retrieval dog is more like a courier, whose effort is only to find and retrieve the already shot trophy.
Someone else got the bullets, picked the location, found the bird, shot and trained for months to be accurate enough to hit a flying target.
It'll be unfair to compare the dog to Nigerians who celebrate receiving a treat because it's even worse for Nigerians.
Unlike the dog, Nigerians have a high stake in the country, we pay taxes, our parents pay taxes, we improve the economy and the resources belong to us all. We're getting a worse deal than the Dog.
Anytime I wan calculate my end-of-month expenses, na then I go begin see names wey I no sabi.
Who be Zaidu Yusuf, and Wetin dey happen for my life wey make me send you ₦12,400 for 2:32 a.m??
Nobody promoted me for writing clean code.
They promoted me when I started writing clear docs, unblocking teammates before they even asked, and saying "I don't know, let me check" instead of guessing in meetings.
Technical skill gets you hired. Communication gets you promoted.
You must learn to see what others cannot, and then develop the ability to articulate it with such fidelity that neither the integrity of your vision nor the understanding of your audience is compromised.
Creativity often bears an uncomfortable resemblance to lunacy.
