@SBS@Kprinceboateng pretty embarrassing to be an ‘analyst’ of the game and whinge on the air that “Argentina are favoured by the refs”. It’s a childish take considering England have given just as much rough play in this, including the only actual dangerous tackle from Anderson
@jasonrmcintyre This is the only issue with the World Cup: so many people who have no idea on the rules of football start watching football and sharing opinions. It’s not a red. It’s yellow card, a second yellow for him which = red
@igorvarga@Kasparov63 Yes consistency and refereeing in this WC has been quite bad. But to lose its “value” is just a ridiculous comment when it’s still the highest value trophy in all of sport. End of the day the majority of decisions this game were probably correct - especially these two key ones
@UtdChulo Oh my god yall are so tiring.
VAR checks offsides so no it wasn’t - also didn’t matter anyway?
Foot stood on in tackle before winning the ball = foul.
Ball cleanly won at head of challenge = no foul play on.
Hope this helps, but you are a UTD fan so I don’t think it will…
@PolymarketSport These screenshots are intentionally misleading. Not showing the start of the challenge where the ball was cleanly won. From a betting company it’s pretty poor form and something you’d expect from an influencer with 200 followers
@HarrisonSword3@markgoldbridge Disallowed because Egypt player stood on Argentina foot when winning the ball back that started the attack.
No penalty because he got the ball
The World Cup is amazing (aside from Balogun/US corruption and the Croatia disallowed), but it does invite people to share dumb opinions
@ESPNFC Stills and slow mo make it look worse. Yellow card tops. Anyone else who disagrees is frankly an idiot. In real time it looks pretty clear to be an attempt for the ball between his legs and he misses and recognises that straight away. It’s a foul yes, yellow sure. But red, no
@capybaroness This is the dumbest thing I’ve seen today. It looks nothing like AI. Regardless what you think of the trailer or film, you can’t honestly think this looks like AI?
